Cricket: The Women's Cricket Thread

Sophie retires as part of an exclusive club.
Interesting both Sophie and Ellyse started as bowlers batting number 10 before becoming more batting all-rounders. Both also double sporting world cups, Sophie with hockey and Ellyse with football apart from cricket.

Although I am delighted that we got into the semis, it doesn't bode well that 2 of our worse defeats in the comp have come from Eng. & Aus. who are also in the semis. They are just in a league of their own at the moment. Can't see us beating them.

SA women will be hosting Ireland women.

We can only hope for the best on the day. But, yes, agree, The Aus and Eng teams look destined for the finals.

Very difficult task at hand today. My brain says we lose my heart says we win. Good luck to the ladies.

Several days later and I'm still baffled at why Jafta batted at 6?

She's absolutely amazing!

Multi talented. Have you heard her sing? Beautiful voice!

Matriculated with 6 Distinctions wasn't it?

Was going to, or was studying medicine and gave it up for cricket?

Such an impressive individual!
Was studying medicine but gave it up to pursue cricket. Finished a BSc in life sciences this year.
Multi talented.
