Cricket world cup discussion thread

The funny thing is we did it against the 2 worst teams,England and NZ,yet we go and beat India Chasing 290.
 
The problem is with us. We should never get out hopes up with SA in the WC... This is the last WC i think I'll ever watch where I really think SA can win. Their WC choking trend is exactly like the All Blacks with the Rugby WC.
 
@ Ronjay .. exactly. The whole "we're ranked number 1 or 2" means jack when we consistently fail during world cups. After 20 yrs you'd think we'd at least get it right once.

Oh well.. at least there's the rugby to look forward too lol

We cannot even get that satisfaction, 'cause this was his last game as captain :mad:

Oh well, we probably have Botha to look forward to. Regrettably, for me, that's worse than Smith :(
 
Neil Johnson summed it up beautifully on Radio 2000.The top 5 are responsible with that dreadful shot from Duminy being the 'standout'

Anything with the word final in it we choke, happens every time. Even in the t20 :(.

Guys you realize it does not matter who played, we choke every single time, regardless of who plays. It's what we do :D.
 
I'm with Mike on this one.There's some huge conspiracy which started the first time we choked.

Who cares, the choker wont play any more, anyway. He's retiring. Maybe we can find someone that can actually win a QF for us as a replacement.

@Quattro, I'm going to support the Indians from now on for the rest of the cup. I know you want the Paki's to win so lets see what happens.

You guy's should beat your chests after the game, not before. Keppler included.
 
If Botha becomes captain I'm giving up on this side completely. Just give a test player captaincy. Don't make it two different captains. It will just make us so much worse.
