The DVD has an alternate ending which doesn’t bode well for the op.
On a serious note, my guess is that she is scared after the op’s initial reaction. But even if she didn’t mean what she told you that night, I would do something quite drastic like phoning her (leaving a voicemail if necessary) telling her that you are coming by to see her. You can do that without being confrontational.
