Cryptocurrency Mining

In Nice Hash, in Advanced under Settings, there are settings as to when to switch, the minimal time to switch algorithm and the profitability threshold.

Thanks, I'm curious though as I don't have an AMD card at moment (only Nvidia)

Is there any specific driver version I need to get for running GTX1070 on Win10? Looking to mine ETH or just general via nicehash. I will probably lean to mostly ETH at first methinks

Latest driver works fine. But @Gtxgaming at a older one that worked better, not sure if still the case.

Third rig should be running by next week when the psu arrives. Can't believe the courier lost psu and 2 cards. Luckily supplier refunded them and I manage to get other stock to replace it with.

@ koeksGHT - Do you have a lighting rig to go with the sound system and smoke machine? :)

I just bought 8 coins for just under R 20k. Get mining and make me money you slaves :D

Keep buying and making us rich by driving up demand ;) No matter which side you're on, without the other side doing something you won't get anywhere

The trick as always is to try figure out which side is more profitable, or go lower risk and do both in some ratio but expect lower returns

@Pitbull re. question on ethereum rig thread

Have a look at https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc to compare gpu's & other devices

I think their information is generated from actual devices connecting to their pools & effective hash rates.

Daggerhashimoto is the algorithm for Ethereum, Equihash for zcash, Cryptonight for a range of cryptonote coins (bytecoin BCN, fantomcoin, monero).

Mine is the lowly 1050 (2GB so no ethereum mining, but only 60W to 65W power consumption)

Thank you Etienne,

Have you been mining a while now? how successful have you been running with the one card?
Think of building a starting rig with 4x GPUs will try and see if I can source RX470s out of Europe, but don't want to pay duties on it :o
