Cryptocurrency Mining

Those will work fine.

Is best ones you can buy, if want to pay a bit extra.

Busy setting up a rig but due to stock constraints I'm taking my time...

If I go with this PSU : https://www.hashrate.co.za/collecti...r-hxi1200-fully-modular-platinum-power-supply
Would the best risers be : https://www.hashrate.co.za/products/pcie-riser-card-ver008s-molex-6pin-sata?variant=54034367623

Do I need any other cables for PSU/Risers/GPU's?

As I'm going with the power hungry 580's it's apparently advised to not use the HX1200i for 6 cards but rather use a dual CPU setup. Would 2 of these work then:

https://www.wootware.co.za/coolerma...plus-gold-certified-desktop-power-supply.html

or the ultimate (more expensive option)

https://www.wootware.co.za/corsair-...dy-80-plus-titanium-desktop-power-supply.html

Right so many questions, but all boil down to "which risers should I use with which PSU to power 6 x RX580 8gig cards?"

I hope someone can answer this for me that is currently running a setup like this.

Thank you in advance.

I have a rig 6x RX570 8GB edition on a HX1200 and it runs stable. Maybe split up the GPUs 3 on one 850w and 3 on the other psu.

What internet speed is actually required for mining?

Because I'm working on a second rig now, but I'm afraid my internet might not handle it.

I think I have a 4mb line, maybe a 2?

Thank you, will go with that approach... Will go for the 009s risers with the HX1200i and run 3 580's on it with the other components and then get a 850 for the other 3... or do 4 and 2... Anyway, this is all just hypothetical as getting those 580's is not that easy :P

Going places? He left the teaching profession after winning the NZ lottery I believe. Not sure if it was enough to quit work but I believe it bought a nice house lol. Sorry about the water! Eish!

Anyone got any news on NH payouts owed to them. Today is supposed to be that day...
https://www.nicehash.com/news/nicehash-will-fully-reimburse-its-users

My post from Carb:

This sort of sounds like a bank that loses a month's worth of salary of yours due to a hack, then says they will reimburse you only when you have deposited a years' worth of your salary. Ok, not exactly the analogy I was going for but it makes sense in my head :)

I think it's maybe a way to get people to 'give up' on those unpaid external balances and rather switch to the internal wallet or other systems (MultiPoolHub, AwesomeMiner, Zpool, etc.). Either way, I will be forfeiting my +-R500 owed to me by them and changing to another service if I don't continue to mine straight ZCL via Suprnova. When I have a working PC again, that is.

One other niggle (prepare the tinfoil hats): Have you noticed how often NHM has to re-bench your cards upon a new version update? What has always bothered me is that you never get the 'earnings' of your benchmark results (others such as MultiPoolHub pay you for your 'bench' results), so perhaps this is their way of making up the balance they need to repay? :p

Did any one else have there mining income halved the laqst 2 days? would i be corect in assuming it is due to the bitcoin value dropping?

For the guys looking for cooling sollutions.

Cooling solution for what? Maybe his room but his cards will run alot hotter. I've done the same. In my case I used a wooden box. The room the miners were in was 10-15 degrees cooler with the box shut and sealed, but my cards temp climbed from 55-63ish to over 73. I ditched the box cause the room they're in is not used apart from a bunch of crap being stored in it. Now I'm using 2 big a$$ fans moving air and it works fine.

PS. These fans. They move air well.

Agreed. Those steel blades can blow a rig of the table. Super strong compared to plastic blade fan.
