Cryptocurrency Mining

Honestly I have seen ~1% drops in performance going from Win7 -> Win10 but I put that down to normal variances. DaggerHash on the GTX970 is another story however...19MH -> 3MH is a huge drop.

I have read that version 372.54 is supposedly better so I am attempting to download that to try. @Thor187 how dare you jinx us, jou bliksem :D

Chaps, some help please :)

My GTX970 is getting very, very poor results in DaggerHash under Windows 10. Benchmarking it shows the following:

View attachment 444448

65% power level, stock clocks and all that. The same setup under a fresh copy of Windows 7 yields exactly the same speed in Equihash and a speed of 19MH/s in DaggerHash.

Has anyone else had this issue before? The 1070 is running just fine and I have experimented with various versions of nVidia drivers but I feel I am at my wit's end now :(

What do you mean by 65% power level? As in 65% usage of the card?

I use 372.54 maybe that's the issue.

Correct. I limit my power level via MSI Afterburner as I have my PC in my bedroom so I try and keep the noise and heat down a bit. I don't lose much in terms of BTC per day, but I save a bit on the power draw at the wall (at least, that's what my prepaid meter tells me). When NiceHashMiner switches to Equihash it gives you a readout of your current hashrate, wattage of your cards and efficiency. With both cards at 100% my efficiency is around 2.1H/W. With the limits set below it is around 2.9H/W, plus the added benefit of a quieter PC

Is anyone willing to share their settings for their 1070's, does everyone use MSI afterburn? I finally got my 1st rig built today, now to install windows and tweak it a bit.

MSI afterburner is the best. 75% tdp limit core clock standard and memory clock 600+

My 1060 is on 60% power 700+ memory and doing 22mh/s on claymore eth. Total draw for board and 1 card at the wall is 113w.

Power over SATA bad... It's meant to drive HDD/SSDs which draw 10W max, whereas the card may draw up to 75W from the riser

Serious? I picked up risers from geewiz that have the molex to sata connection. Seems to work fine this side.

Should I switch to molex only?

These oaks are fine.

Set up everything today. Registered on Luno, went to more, receive Bitcoin, add address and generated one. I then put that in Nicehash as my ID. Is that correct? I assume, dollars will be paid into that account at the next payment date? I didnt create a NiceHash wallet

What is the difference between that and the option to create an API?

What's up with nicehash web stats? I've noticed it's very erratic. It doesn't seem to report your correct hash rates. Is this due to a delay or is some hashing power going missing?

It will certainly work, just a matter of for how long. But if you're running cards at sub 100w, and they have an 8 pin power connector (which can supply 150w) then maybe you get lucky and it is all drawn from that connector. Maybe you don't and because you thought hey, this sata power cable has 3 connectors on it, that means I can power 3 risers, so now you're stressing the wires and the terminals and things get hot and eventually go poof and the magic smoke gets out.

Easy test, just feel the power cables going to the risers, if they are warm to the touch you may have an issue.

Can you guys using 1070s and nicehash tell me how many Sols are you getting per card?
