Cryptocurrency Mining

Have you forced P0 power state? I mean there are plenty of people running headless (in more ways than one :p). But seriously, you shouldn't need the monitor
Nope I didn't change that. Where do I get it?

Under settings in nicehash, or if you are running something else then you need to use the nvidia-smi commands. Whether or not this is your problem I can't say but it won't hurt to try

I have an AMD card

does equihash not get measured in sols/s?

odd, it quite clearly says 390.278 H/s here on my screen inside NiceHashMiner, anyway, I was just having a look at this last night to see how it workedwith BTC. I am more interested in mining ETC and/or ETH.

Today I am back onto getting Geth working, and working it is. I am pool mining ETH as I type this.

Total speed 26 Mh/s

Nicehash will display the hash rate of whatever you're mining
Why Geth over any of the other mining software?

Had various issues with NiceHash last night.

It's trying to download miners then get's stuck at about 23%.
And it kept on opening the front-end every time I close it, it just starts again...

Anyone know why? I'm not going to struggle with this, might as well just get a different miner engine then...

Don't know if this is the case, but there are known to be 'mining viruses'

Turn off your antivirus temporarily and try again. Do you have any other peerblocking software?

I think command line is better for this kind of thing to be honest, aside from the fact that I have read good things about Geth & Claymore working together.

Instead of purchasing the mining equipment outright, does anyone have experience with buying hashing power on NiceHash & paying commission?

Mine got stuck at 79% last night, tried it again this morning and it worked fine.

Ok installed nicehash, ran benchmarks and then started it, (did not touch any settings). Does it automatically pick what to mine based on profitability?

Currently doing 21.5MH/s DaggerHashsomething on a gtx 1060

Yea even got it from their website so doubt it's infected. Will try again tonight. Maybe re-download it and chuck the old download file.

Yes will do automatically. Make sure you overclocked your memory on the card.
