I think I'll just run NHM for a couple of days to get the hang of it all before switching to a CLI miner (which I'd prefer). Is Dwarfpool more profitable than Nicehash?
So far, only slightly. May be related to recent dips in zcash price though, which is more pronounced than the dip in bitcoin in which nicehashminer pays out if that is even logical (don't know what algorithms they use at nicehash for profitability calculations given that I was on equihash algo. hence zcash mining).
Ok thanks. I'm comfortable to let NHM do its thing for now. I see the profit/day keeps rising the longer it's mining. It started at just over R30/day and is already at R45/day. Only been running since 19:30 tonight though...
I'm trying to get payout figures.
So nice hash gives me 0.0027btc per day. Claymore and ethermine.org seems to be quite a bit less. Just want to run it for a full 24hrs to see.
Does this seem correct?
And I just started mining.![]()
So it's your fault I'm losing money and not gainingAnd I just started mining.![]()

Thanks. Yip that's why looking at the eth production rather than a USD figureYou need to wait the full 24hrs before the payout estimates look better. Eth is taking a dive at the moment so keep that in mind.
Afrihost service is so bad my miners lost connection during the night, so I lost a few 100 bucks![]()

Fake news of a fatal car crash wiped out $4 billion in ethereum’s market value yesterday
This is what market manipulation looks like in the age of cryptocurrencies and fake news. The hoax did reveal something interesting about cryptocurrencies: Unlike bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, an almost mythical figure whose identity remains unknown, Buterin is the de facto public face of ethereum. He doesn’t control the network—it’s a piece of decentralised software that anyone can run or build on, just like bitcoin—but his status as its creator means that rumors like this one have a higher chance of taking hold in the markets.
That means that $26 billion in market value partly depends on a 23-year-old staying healthy and alive—and providing selfies to prove it.
