Cryptocurrency Mining

I've heard there are some exchanges that operate with MT4 and allow BTC/USD pairs.

Bitmain.com - the only place to buy them IMO.
Everyone else doubles the price.
L3+ itself is sold out again for now... will be back in a few days no doubt.

Is it worth buying like R4000's worth of Bitcoin or Ethereum?

Or is it better to put that towards a GPU for mining?

Really depends on your needs, situation and belief.

Had you bought R4000 worth of Ethereum in January for instance, you probably would have made a lot more than if you had bought a R4000 GPU.

But, over time, a R4000 GPU continues to generate cryptocurrency. You make more.

You could buy R4000 of ethereum today, only to find it is worth R2000 tomorrow. You just never know.

The other problem is, you would not be able to buy a R4000 GPU today even if you wanted to.

Damn, this is so hard lol. I feel like buying components is more fun, but investing in something strong like Bitcoin/Eth is probably smarter/easier? But boring?

Either way you are investing in BTC/Eth.

If you buy straight up BTC/ETH or if you buy a GPU - Which in turn will be mining you that BTC/ETH.

I would go with the GPU (If you can find one for R4k) Not only will it bring in a slow but steady stream of BTC/ETH it will hold some resale value if you decide to stop with the mining.

Remember that if you invest in Eth or BTC, you are investing in a currency. The reason why people are making a lot of money from them is because they are speculating and because the currencies are so volatile at the moment. But that is the only reason.

Buying components offers long term rewards for probably lower risk. Investing in cryptocurrency is a lot more risky because as I said, they are so volatile.

Imagine what would happen if the dollar lost 33% of its value in one day - that is what happened to Ethereum the other day.

Only 35% more than a month ago, nothing to see here
On Friday it went for R7 999, I then complained when I bought it on Friday evening (I think) since that was the price they sent me via email on Friday morning.

They then gave it to me at R7 999 :)

Hi,

If I bought Etherum on Ice3x, and then later sold it, and converted it to Bitcoin. How would I transfer it to Luno?

Alternatively, if I received Bitcoin from Nicehash into Luno, how would I transfer it into Ice3x?

Fees? Struggling to find this..

Each site has their own fees, you simply get your wallet address on the receiving end and send to that wallet address from the source.

So I got pricing on Bitfury's miner containers...

We do have our 7.5PH, 1.1MW Blockbox AC available.
Price starts at USD800K, based on a 50/50 profit share which takes effect after you recover your initial 800K investment. The Box will be hosted at our facility in Canada for a USD50K monthly fee to cover electricity and other expenses. Minimum investment is USD5M.
Still have a way to go... lol.

Thanks. Thought so. Are there any international sites that natively support ZAR? Like coinbase (which would have been perfect) does not. Not sure how much I trust the local exchanges....

Found Bitgo, but that is a wallet only. No transacting.
