Cryptocurrency Mining

Anyone bought an Avalon 741?

Avalon 741 pricing is $ 798. I'd want to get 4 of them mining BCH. Break even in 64.3 days.

This is what the revenue would look like:

Seems decent for a SHA256 miner?

They currently out of stock. Delivery time is very important as difficulty sky rockets. It might only mine a fraction of that figure by delivery

Don't forget to include your power costs, should be R229.63 per day at 4.6KW/H

Even on BCH (BCC)?

It's included - @ R248 (See $18.77 under costs)

Me too, but too lazy to set it up lol

Hoping sia booms next year when they release asic miners.

They are going nowhere if they don't get their software stable. I've been through 3 versions of sia-ui and countless wipe and restarts of blockchain download and it just isn't stable. First restart and the app crashes.

Bitmain users, reset your passwords - their system was compromised.

Scenario:

Wife looking to supplement her income with around R5k/month. (She's changing jobs because of reasons...)
What will she need to invest in (considering availability of hardware, etc.) to achieve along those lines? Never having been that heavily/seriously invested in the mining side of things, I told her I would rather ask the smart people in the room :) This won't be for mining and holding coin, so think NHM.

Will looking at investing in an ASIC be worth the while? We're willing to drop some cash to get this done, as long as we can expect to at least break even at some point.

Suggestions please, aaaaaand go!
