Cryptocurrency Mining

I can actually afford a miner, which are the best one to get around 40 to 50k.

Also how do you get to 2.2 months ROI?
Did you pay 48k for 2 miners?

Any place you can get asic miners with that can issue a VAT invoice?

Yes, from Bitmain.
You get an invoice from them.
You get a VAT invoice from SARS.
You claim the VAT from SARS if you're a vendor and running a business out of it.

Price drop of around R22k... Not sure how this makes me feel... 2000mh not profitable anymore? Or just really a good deal....

It's way over priced to begin with.

Edit: I see that one is also no longer on the Baikal product page, it's been replaced with a 10GH version.

Yeah figured that's probably what's busy going on, i.e. higher performing hardware... out with the old, in with the new...

Eish, profits are so bad today, I think it's time to go on holiday and come back when the markets are in a better mood.

A quick calculation including VAT, shipping, and providing your own PSU puts this over 50K, which is pretty much what you would pay to build your own here.

And the added benefit of not having to use international shipping for warranty issues....

What are all you other antcoin miners being paid out with? My priority to start with is to pay off the hardware so I'm wanting to convert to FIAT fairly regularly - assume it's best to opt for pool payment in BTC then? Right now I'm getting LTC.

How are you getting paid in LTC? If I were you I'd keep getting that until such a time that the cash out is enough to cover your entire investment amount. That way you also get the possibility of growth while you wait

Prohashing lets you choose your preferred coin for payout. You can get paid x% in one coin and x in another. I've just accepted the default of LTC.
Certainly I will be waiting for the right time to sell but I need to replace the initial cash investment.

Try some solo mining, maybe you get lucky :P

I've mined two GameCredits worth around $20 each... maybe I should :D
You tried it for lolz?

What's your experience been with the L3+ and the various pools? Who are you mostly stuck with?
Is there any benefit of loading up more than one pool addy into the machine?

Nice! I still have to, I was doing some solo on DGB, found 3 blocks only worth about $12 each, mostly nicehash, but this solo mining is like finding treasure, might do it every other day and maybe get lucky, I use the nicehash wallet as the withdrawal fees are lower than my Jaxx wallet.

Antminer L3+ owners - I noticed mine just rebooted. I checked up time and the other has been up for 9 hours so it rebooted at some point in the day too. I came across this:

Anyone else noticed this?
Going to see what firmware I have...

Latest is here:

*EDIT* I have the latest, so clearly it hasn't sorted the issue out.

Yup mine does the same, I haven't notice it having any effect on mining though.

on the reboot..did it auto start hashing?

Yes, just the 2 minute or so boot up process that it won't be mining. It's also loud as while it boots - sounds like a siren lol. Trying hard not to attract unwanted attention ROFL.
I opened a support ticket - will dig in the kernel log later. Possibly driver related.
