Always run fixed fan speed to 50% depending on temps. CPT is hot today. Kept my rig off GPUs temps sit around 65cDo you guys set the fan speed manually higher when mining ? i see the temp drops quite considerable than with the "auto fan setting" ?

Yea, today and yesterday was torture. Looks like we have a few slightly cooler days ahead of us. Let's hopeAlways run fixed fan speed to 50% depending on temps. CPT is hot today. Kept my rig off GPUs temps sit around 65c

Whoo the rx550 rig is running!
400hs on gigabyte rx550 and slightly less on sapphire.
Around 2450hs for the 6 cards
It is setup as dual threads per card so shows as 12 cards.![]()
30watt a card.Not bad!
How much power is it pulling?
Seeing that there is no vega stock I also started looking at maybe building a budget rig in the meanwhile.
Just want to mention the excellent service I received from Hashrate. Ordered the frame and risers on Wednesday around 2:30ish and when I got home yesterday they had already been delivered.
You can already direct mine. I would assume with algo switching.
I queried some of their algo switching logic and as reply I received this:
Hello!
Please note that we are already testing a Linux version which will be released in the next few weeks.
Thank you for understanding and using our services!
Kind regards,
NiceHash Team
Yeah he always help me out on the go!
Going there later today from some frames and risers.
Want to try out v009 risers.
I really was amazed.
What risers are those and what benefits (if any)?
https://www.hashrate.co.za/collecti...ducts/pcie-riser-card-ver009s-high-power-6pin
They power by 6pin pcie.
My rx550 rig, only draws power from sata risers, want some of the cards to pull power from the pcie power rather.
One of my sata connectors was hot because the power it pulled.
Are the risers I got ok to use then or should I rather order the new ones?
Nope they fine as your card pull power from the riser and pcie power on the card.
Small cards like rx550 does not have pcie power on the card.
My big cards all run R150 risers.
Hey guys,
I need some advice with my first rig.
I've got pretty much everything sorted, but I think I'm going to run into some issues with the power for the risers.
I bought these gpus:
6x https://www.wootware.co.za/palit-ge...-256-bit-pci-e-3-0-desktop-graphics-card.html
I bought these psus:
2x https://www.wootware.co.za/evga-210...tified-semi-modular-desktop-power-supply.html
I bought these risers:
6x https://www.wootware.co.za/pci-e-x1-to-x16-extender-riser-card-adapter-with-usb-3-0-cable.html
Now as far as I know, it's a pretty bad idea in my setup to power the risers with the molex -> sata converters, but from what I can see these psus only have 1 molex cable each, which means I can only safely power 2x risers per cable.
This means I'll have 2x risers that I can't power via molex.
What are my options here? Would it be better to try and source more molex chains for the psu? (I'm not really having any luck here)
Or would it be better to try and source 2x 6-pin risers instead for the 2 I can't power with molex?
You can power them with molex to sata, all my rigs run like this.
2 connectors per strip of sata cables, 1 strip of sata cables has 4 connectors, only use 2 per strip!
Your rig will run fine, evga power supplies are great!
30watt a card.
Yes .
power set at 75%, memory 550+ core 50+, some cards can do up to 700+ memory.
No really pushing just max hashes per wattAnd is that pushing the card ? i have a asus strix 1070
