Cryptocurrency Mining

I also want to switch to their internal wallet, but what happens to the money/btc in my current setup that still needs to go somewhere? It doesn't qualify for a payout and might not for a while?
You have to wait until it pays out before moving. I think I'm also going to use the internal wallet. Right now I get paid out every Friday and sometimes that's too long, especially given that I use my NH profits to buy alts

Got my GPU's today. decided to try them in my PC and mine while i wait for rest of rig components. now my sound does not work.?
Not going to worry about it too much though will take GPU out when rest of rig gets here and then i will hopefully get sound back.

Sometimes Windows defaults to using the HDMI output on the GPU as the output audio device. Double check that the default sound device is still your speakers or headphones or whatever it is that you used to use

So still busy with updates! The main update (the one you can “hide”) keeps crashing for some reason. Decided to let the updates complete (thru settings) and then try the main update again and hopefully that sorts out the problems.

The old default says there is nothing plugged in. I have plugged out and in again. Trying to work out how to over clock the cards. So far dropped power limit to 60 and memory clock picked up to 700. Do I try pick up the core clock as well?

You can push the core clocks with 150 - 200 mhz usually. That's a heavy memory overclock IMHO, I believe most run between 400 and 500 extra mhz. But if it's stable and not overheating then all should be good.

Wrt your audio, it's enabled in the BIOS and all that? Only thing that springs to mind is too few PCI lanes to run the onboard audio but I've never heard of that happening before

Could be. i am using a old mobo ( about 4-6 years old it has have a I7 3770k cpu)
But when the rest of the mining rig arric\ves i will put oriignal 660ti back and see if sound come\s right.
Is this hashrate for 2 x 1060's ok? i will ad the msi settings aswell.

Any advice for improvement?

Looks good to me. Try bumping up the core speeds to 150mhz each and see if it affects your hashrate. Also, you may want to bring the temp limit down a bit in case things get toasty. I strive to keep my cards under 70*C, and I setup a custom fan curve to rev up to 100% as soon as it hits 71*C

What amounts are you guys making on a 6 x 1070 cards rig +-?? Profits I mean without depreciation calculated on the rig

Sounds good, happy mining.

Remember to install windows with just 1 gpu installed!

Bios settings has be changed for mining:
Mining mode to enabled
Pcie lanes set to gen1.

So finally Windows installed and Nvidia driver too.

In BIOS I managed to enable mining mode but can’t find the setting to change Pcie lane to Gen 1? Does this only appear once the rest of the GPU’s are installed?

Also anything else I need to change in BIOS?

Nope setting should be there under chipset, just go through each tab. Cant remember where it is now.

This is all I have under chipset:

South Bridge: SD USB Configuration - XHCI Controller - Enabled (or disabled)

EHCI HC: Auto ( disables or enabled)

North Bridge: IOMMU - Disabled (or enabled)

GFX Configuration-

Onboard Device: Relatek PCIE NIC - Enabled (or disabled)

Onboard LAN option ROM - Disabled (or enabled)

Also I can boot into windows with all GPUs connected but they aren’t detected in device manager or Nvidia control panel - is that because of the above?

Settings diffrent on amd one. Should still pick up, might just not install.

What settings you have under advanced?

These are the settings under advanced:

I looked under device manager but only showed the 1 gpu that I am connected too.

Got all GPU’s to detect under device manager:

Still haven’t found out how to change PCIE tho.

Hmm seems probably not needed on amd then.

As can't see that setting from your screenshots.

So no need to change PCIe Gen1 then if all cards are detected in device manager?

On CPU-z under Graphic Interface it says Version: PCI-Express. Link Width X1 Max Supported X16

On a side note, do you know the best settings for MSI Afterburner to use for these cards?

Then is it just a case of installing nice hash and doing the “system check” and then letting it do its thing or should I be using something else?

Yep if they pick up your good to go.

gtx 1060 6gb cards right?

75% power(100% being stock), 100+ core, 700+ memory.

Yes can just run them on nicehash.
