Crysis overrated?

I thought it was alot of fun to play. The suit gives you alot of options when you get bored. (Speed boost, grab a guy, stength, throw him through a tree) but I found that once the aliens start a kickdown, you rarely every go out of amour mode. Took away a dimention of the game for me so the later stages werent that enjoyable anymore for me.

Do I regert buying it? No. Waiting for the day my pc can play it on max everything then i'll take it on agian.
 
Graphics were great on my 8800 but that's where it ended... gameplay was very predictable and got a bit boring in the alien ship. BUT, it is still something to druel over... just take another look at the lighting effects.

You buy Crysis for the graphics and yes eltherza I too will be digging in my games cupboard when I next upgrade my system!

Graphics engines are not the be all and end all of games. Quite frankly I wish I could play old AVP in Vista, I loved how the marine levels make you crap in a dark room at night.

Star Wars Force Unleashed looks like it could be good.

And the game still lags and is choppy on medium detail FFS!!!! :mad: :mad: :(
I played it for 5 minutes and then chucked it aside.
 
quad core 2.4
2gb ddrII 800mhz
8800gtx..

Game ran perfectly on full for me, maybe a drop in frame rate here and there, but smooth mostly
 
I don't even have the game. I don't even have a PS3/XBOX360.

I have Prince of Persia though...
 
i agree with most of you, i play crysis on

4200+ dual core
2gig ddr2 ram 667mhz
GeForce 8600GT 512mb gddr2

on high... no problem even with the anti-anil...

but after the massive graphics the gameplay is stupid, and a waste of time i'd say
so the only nice part was the suit, other than that just throw it in the boring games box
 
like windows vista, crysis is getting flack from the poor bastards who cant afford high end computers - so all they can do is whine and punting the sh1tty excuse of gameplay. The why oh why dont they stick to pac man and eat a tin of shut the fark up is beyond me.

Crysis in my oppinion is an amazing first person experience. Great story, great voice acting, awesome SOUND and GRAPHICS and an incredibly immersive game.

barring Half Life 2 there is no real first person shooter that comes close right now.

FEAR was great but lacked good sound. Deus-Ex was cool too.

Lets not even talk about Quake 4 or Doom 3 cuz ID software lost the plot with castle wolfestein remake or wotever it was meant to be.

Only other game lately that has great value but more in the multiplayer area is COD4.

BioShock and Gears of War to me are the over rated games lately.

Physics engine was great as well.

I didn't say it sucked, just that I had more fun playing through a second time with cheats on.

And yeah, the physics was pretty cool too, that's where my rocket launcher comment came in :D
 
I will finish the game once I get it (finished demo level.s.)
and then I will cheat,. :)
Just LOOVE the way you can put on the tactical attachment.. and drug someone.. and then put on STRENGHT mode, and moer them to death
violent notion I know.. but it is fun

u guys still on bout AVP, i agree **** its damn scary playing that at night, and all u got is a pathetic machine gun(if u r lucky)

what do they have, blood that actually eats through ur body and gun..... unfair...

they just give u one bite and ur like toast..

so do as i do... play during the day...................it works :D

i play the game on high and still i dnt like

Perhaps it has something to do with a framerate of around 10? Anybody can 'play' it on high. Unfortunately for most the gameplay will be :sick:. The rest of us will have a blast thanks :p

actually i can play crysis on high and get avg of 42 fps

still game play sucks

beautiful scenery though
