I was going to wait till month end to sign up for fibre...but CW forced my hand. Paying a pro-rata fee is acceptable to get away from this absolutely sheit service.

Yeah - cancellation is going in tomorrow for me, I have decided that a large fat pipe account will be better (and cheaper!). Sad to have to move because they launched a new network that isn't up to snuff. The old CW used to care about their customers, and would bend over backwards to resolve issues. Half the month gone, and I still can't get my gaming fix out of CW. I am loyal, until you mess with my Internet. I was willing and able to pay the premium for my CW account. They need to be willing and able to keep it in a premium state.

Sayonara CW.

I think the problem is with ipc on the new network. On a non ipc connection it's fine

So what has changed with this evonet thing? I can see my traffic from CT going to JHB and back to CT but still seems to be on IS though (before I had 1ms ping to other CT sites). But upload performance is terrible now. Downloads seem to be fine though.

Seems to be much better now, my traffic is no longer going through JHB and I'm back to 1ms ping in CT

Well, my single connection download speeds are still lacking at ~ 6-700kBytes/sec, but I can saturated my ADSL line that syncs at 13Mbps with multiple connections... just that if I switch to Axxess, I can get full speed on a single conenction...

What I *have* however, picked up, is that I had about hourly SSH connection hangs, especially with huge/big screen updates that would be filling the MTUs... so still not happy, and calling the call centre I was told to talk to Eugene the next morning, and the next morning Eugene was in meetings and didn't return my call to investigate....

So... The route to Hetzner in Germany (AS24940) has been down for about an hour now. Any explanation why?

Maybe another DDoS attack - still an unsolved issue according to the Network notice on the webpage.
