Still down this morning, so it doesn't seem like they're able to figure out how to fix it.

And the crap is back.
I also noticed speed degradation for the last week or two, did not complain until simply put there was no connectivity for any wireless and wired devices in the house except netflix running on ps3.

Thought that something was wrong with my LAN.
Support "fixed" it up this morning with dns server change and reset but still access to some sites is just painfully slow.

Very annoying!

Had the same thing this morning. was advised to changed my DNS setting to Google's. Did that and had access to the internet again after it was down since yesterday 6pm.

However - the speed is very slow and dropping (normally on a 50/50 uncapped Fibre package). the NAT test on my PS4 still fails and team speak on PC is almost impossible. Lag on the PC is also so terrible it is better to not play at all.

Got CW to acknowledge that there's a broader issue but thats about it. What i dont understand is they know theres an issue but still makes you reboot the router and CPE etc etc etc. why not just tell us all what actually going on and keep us informed with hourly / bi-hourly updates.

Why not just cancel your service? They've been screwing up for a while now. Why do people have this loyalty to an ISP, when it's so damn easy to switch?

I've gone over to Vox, as of Friday last week. Performance thus far seems to be at least on par with CW (when they were working), at a fraction of the price I was paying.

oh no Im doing that. Problem is that due to it being after the 18th im stuck with them for May. Im in no way defending them or trying to be loyal. Just giving my 10 cents so people who read here can see there are others out there having the same issues.

If i didnt have to save extra to afford water (im in CTN) i would be happy to have a double internet charge for one month.

Exact same mistakes AH made years ago (and still making). And then CW was created with all the promises of "we'll be different", which for a while was true. Seems that has come to an end also.

I am cancelling today. I work from home and need access to my Linux and Oracle servers. One thing if I can't play an online game. Another thing altogether if I can't access my servers which impacts my paycheque.

Yeah, I'm pulling my hair our. Support "have just been told... right now" that it's a DDoS attack. Getting absolutely NO help from support. No response. Have no idea who or where to turn to anymore.

As much as I want to jump in with this, why is it only CW at the "end" / "beginning" of the month? Perhaps lack of IPC? Lack of Captain ship steering? Or just plan flagshipped?

Oh and it's been like this for past 20 minutes now

In any case I am canceling this show and moving on as I should have done a lot sooner. There was an attempt to pull one over mweb for being a bad ISP, but same-same in the end. Can't even say well played can one.

Good luck for the rest trying.

Me and my brother both have the same issues since CW went over to Evonet, with a small uptime that went well. We both live in western cape but 200km apart.

What are my options on adsl as I dont have a Fibre options? Is Axxess any good?Or Vox?

Can any of you access Microsoft site? I need to download software but unable to access the site (error connection closed). Strange is that I can access office 365.

Funny how the DDoS issues only started once they went over to Evonet.

It's been an absolute disaster. They must swallow their pride and go back to IS. If not, they will not have a business in 3 month's time.

The packet loss I am getting is absolute horrible. I can't even to begin working on my DB for fear of corrupting my data.

Spoke to someone today on the phone about a billing issue, mentioned I will be cancelling. Was told that I should do what makes me happy, and I am not being forced to use CW...

It was said in a nice way at least, bit of a friendly tone (not fake). Still, not a good thing for customer retention, especially seeing that switching over to a new network is a heavy investment. Retaining customers in this phase is crucial.

Last time I fall for the "recommend my ISP" spiel as well.

Yeah feeling like a bit of an idiot for recommending them so much. Guess it's best to just let people decide for themselves.

They were good. Until they weren't. Nothing wrong with recommending ISPs as long as you don't lock yourself into lengthy contracts.
