This is beyond funny now... They have had two days to resolve this issue and now the third day they are down again. Why oh why did I have to transfer my line to them all those years ago...

Don't care that this is in the wrong group but what are the recommendations for a replacement to the Crystal Web Premium DSL account? I need to move to a professional ISP...

I also need to move urgently from Crystalweb. A Nightmare with no internet and back on old ADSL line. Need a VT number to be able to move, and they do not seem to have it... errr hours on the phone....

Maybe by telling your customers, "Hey, we have this thing we're trying to fix. Here's what it's all about. Hang tight, we're working on it. We're also sorry about the issues, so we're discounting your next month's subs to try make up for it. Stay tuned to our social media for more."

The silence is worse than anything else they could have done. If one guy in their call centre is juggling 12 customers, I think they have some serious problems to address that they're actively ignoring.

EDIT: I mean, does anyone at CW realise how tone deaf this is?

+1 To your post re communication. That is by far the biggest blunder they have made. The CW of old you would get an email from Shaun explaining the issue and reassuring you that they are working on it. This CW? You get 0 communication and are treated as a number...

BTW report that pinned post as spam on Twitter after awhile they should get the idea

This from their website while waiting for live chat response: "Our customer service is second-to-none, offering live chat that works, email, telephone, and social media channels. We're always here to help." Not as i see it waiting for 15 minutes

So did CW throw in the towel? Basically nothing at all works currently. Ping works, but that's about it. TCP connections seem to get filtered from CW's side after just a few bytes, barely enough to do an SSL handshake, let alone transfer any data across the SSL connection.

My SSH connections just manage to log in, but then as soon as I do something that outputs more than a few bytes, those connections get terminated as well.

Actually, this sort of feels like that CW are filtering ICMP "fragmentation needed" messages. Good job, CW.

Is there no way to move to another fibre provider immediately? Does it really take that long to remove them from cpe?

Yes. Submit cancelation to CW.
Submit order on cool ideas page
Log into vuma portal. Cancel CW order there and place a CI order.
Note your internet will stop working shortly after this
Get hold of cool ideas and ask them to process your activation. When done reboot your router. You'll be charged pro rata by cool ideas for may. You won't get a refund from CW for may.

If I cancel with CW now will I still have internet till end of May and will they cancel the ADSL with Telkom (managed by them)?
Then in your opinion, should I sign up now with CI and ask for activation end of May?
Not sure how I must proceed
