Crystal Web DSL performance feedback thread Part 4...

I had to reach out to them on their support chat. Doesn't seem like you did that. You just left a complaint on MyBB and somehow expected a resolution?

I wasn't expecting a resolution. I was checking if other people were experiencing the same problem. The fact that YOU had to contact them to get this information further illustrates my point. Why were we not notified?

I already told them that it's extremely poor of them to not send out a notification that the issue is known and that they are currently fixing it.

Just a suggestion, try reading earlier posts to see what is going on. People have been having this issue for over a week now and have been stating it here, with the hardware upgrade fix being mentioned a few times as well.

Can someone please run a WinMTR or similar to curp1-rba-gi1.isdsl.net and post the results? Will be much appreciated.

It would be better if they sent out emails/sms/whatsapp to their clients and not expect you to contact them the whole time.

I have been part of that group of people. I have been here every single night since then as my speed has been affected. I have reported it to them and they have told me they have escalated this problem. However tonight is different. I can't even browse the internet. Which is a different issue as usually my line would be degraded from 10MB to around 2MB to 3MB. So yes, I have been involved in getting this matter resolved and I have been reading the posts.

I just streamed law & order season finale and another show. Buffered one time in 2 hours.

Wonder why others are having problems and others dont.

Yeah. No issues here either. Nonetheless, that doesn't mean I don't sympathise with the clearly many others who are indeed having issues.

Agree. Actually feel for them...i stream 98% I watch...i would probably have a meltdown if my internet went offline.

Just dont feel for the fibre users

I don't know about the other people having issues, but my issues is only with downloading most of the time i get like 40-100 KB's on a 4mb line. Streaming and gaming to a sense is perfect just downloading is giving problems

Hmmm, think Durban just pooped, high on 3rd and 4th hop on multiple accounts after a traffic freeze of about 5 mins. Half line speed again too, meh.

Anyone else getting this crud? Mweb the best performing :crylaugh:
I'm thinking it's the DINX.

My main issue is Twitch performance.

Surely 40Mbps VDSL should be able to stream most streams in high quality at 1080P but most I have been forced to set to 480P.

Is this a general issue with all ISP's or only CW. Anyone else have experience with streaming from Twitch?

Twitch is dependent on which cache your ISP routes to, a lot of their caches are over-utilized.

I can't stream 1080p Twitch on my 100Mbps fibre connection. Very annoying.

No matter what video I try stream I get half line speed and CW has not been able to fix it in months.

Really considering dropping them at this point

For months already? Just leave already; that's insane! I would never tolerate performance like that.

My connection functions like it more or less has an upper limit of 6MB/s instead of 9+MB/s. I'm strongly considering moving elsewhere.

Vox seems like a solid choice at the moment, I'm all good for paying a higher price for better performance but Crystal Web performs worse than Vox for much more money which is insane. I don't understand why things had to get this bad before they started upgrading their stuff. Seems like poor foresight.
