To my knowledge, Telkom doesn't use seacom. And Afrihost mentioned that they don't use seacom.

I thought Afrihost uses IS, and IS has capacity on IS?

That makes sense. Thanks.Afrihost only uses IS for parts of their hosting environment. Their DSL/Fibre network is separate.

Surely the port is independent of the ISP?
When you swap ISP the port resets usually.
Now you sound like a Telkom help desk agent reading from a script.go to live chat and ask for a port reset, then do a full power cycle (unplug all cables, wait and restart...)
it's 'cos I've heard it so many times!!Now you sound like a Telkom help desk agent reading from a script.
... fixed that for yougo to live chat and ask for a port reset, then do a full power cycle (unplug all cables, wait 5 mins and restart...). Phone back if you still have a problem.

Mine is doing exactly the same. As soon as 8PM hits something over at Crystal Web happens and then until roughly 11pm I can't even stream 480p on a 10MB Uncapped Account. This has been happening for the past 5 days now. It's unacceptable. It's not my PORT, it's not my LINE... it's a CRYSTAL WEB problem.
