I havent read through this entire thread, so Im not sure if lots of people are experiencing these issues.

I have a Crytalweb 4mbps Premium ADSL account.
Ive been super happy for many years.
Since about 2 weeks ago my streaming is up to ***** :(
I never used to have a problem before, but it's really bad lately.
I watch a lot of Netflix and Youtube and lately it really struggles to get up to good quality. And when it gets to good quality, it just drops down to crappy quality a little later.

I spoke to Crystalweb Support and they told me to run WinMTR tests.
After the tests they said that it seems like there's something wrong at my exchange. They asked me to call Telkom and have my port reset.
I did this, but I'm still getting the same issues.

So my question is:
Are there issues?
If there are, when will they be fixed?
Should I go to another ISP? If so, Which one? (I dont really wanna leave, because Ive been super happy, but I cant carry on like this for much longer)

Would you be kind enough to post that MTR?
There seem to be some issues in PE and Gauteng, though seems to be a bit random whom it affects, so could also be affecting you.

Here you go.I just ran it again. (Im in Observatory, Cape Town)
It ran for about 2 min.
It looks a bit better than last time. Last time I ran it, there was a spike up to 103ms. (Was at about 21:30)
Im not sure if these issues only occur at night, because I guess this looks pretty good now :(

That looks fine. Just at 6pm keep two running, one to the exchange and one to e.g. 8.8.8.8 so if exchange spikes you know it's Telkom line, if Google DNS spikes only, it's the ISP.

Hope it's line/ISP and not exchange. :(

Pretty much my exact experience so either we both have rubbish exchanges (unlikely given the other user's similar issues) or the problem is elsewhere

EDIT -
For the first time since beginning my tests AH and CW are on par:
AH: 16/05 5:11 pm http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6301912665
CW: 16/05 5:20 pm http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6301931528

Let's see what happens as the evening progresses.

Same here, just kicked in 2 min ago at 19:30

I'm on support providing all my results for the last day of testing. I'd suggest everyone else jumps in and reports as well.

Me:
As per my last support discussion I've been testing an Afrihost account in parallel. See results for Speedtest below for the last day:
AH: 15/05 10:11pm http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6299917952 (3.46 down / 0.30 up)
CW: 15/05 09:19pm http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6299803757 (1.83 down / 0.41 up)

AH: 16/05 12:16pm http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6301244234 (3.45 down / 0.38 up)
CW: 16/05 12:20pm http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6301250082 (3.17 down / 0.41 up)

AH: 16/05 05:11pm http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6301912665 (3.44 down / 0.36 up)
CW: 16/05 05:20pm http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6301931528 (3.46 down / 0.37 up)

AH: 16/05 06:15pm http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6302077032 (3.40 down / 0.42 up)
CW: 16/05 06:11pm http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6302062665 (3.00 down / 0.25 up)

AH: 16/05 07:22pm http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6302243366 (3.43 down / 0.42 up)
CW: 16/05 07:30pm http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6302062665 (1.23 down / 0.40 up)

Note the evening issue on CW has kicked in. This is in line with the forum thread (https://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showth...DSL-performance-feedback-thread-Part-4/page32) in which many many other users are reporting the same issue at the same time, with similar results.

I realise that you guys do not provide support on the MyBB forum any more, but I'd urge your management team to have a browse through that thread (particularly the last half) as it points to an issue plaguing a significant amount of users throughout the country, but seemingly most from CT and the EC (who route through CT as far as I'm aware)

I can accept that my exchange may be congested but the above is quite evident of an issue, even a secondary one, being present as well.

CW:
I will investigate on my side and escalate the matter to management as well as well

This is really sad :(

I was such a happy camper and it was only a pleasure to use the CW internet service, but about a week or so ago it started going downhill...

My connection became really crappy once again at about 8pm.
Im gonna be switching to Afrihost tomorrow.
Farewell Crystalweb. It was good while it lasted.
