Crystal Web DSL performance feedback thread Part 4...

Mine took about 2 min to come though this morning.

Sigh, Tried it twice not received the email. Yesterday and tonight.

Now finally gotten first in the que on their chat and all I got is a hi and then radio silence...

Getting quite upset with this utter incompetence...

Luckily Vox is 2 months free, which is brilliant since I can't really afford 2 accounts per month, so May is a little bit of a relief. Still believe CW should refund me, though, or at least pro rata, and I would gladly pay that over to Vox as a thank you.

Not that I hate CW at all, I had great service from them for so long, and I am sure it's not like they're doing this on purpose, they're just inept at the moment, and I think they had a heavy reliance on Brian Seligmann to get this new network up and running. His death seemed to have been very untimely in relation to the Evonet move.

Since Shaun is still there, I still have faith that they can pull it around, if they employ the correct people in the gaps, and never say never, IMO they can prove themselves again. I also have a little bit of a soft spot for the little guy, which is why I hope they make a full recovery, after the last 3 years and the superb service before the last few months - both internet-wise and support-wise. Compare that with bigger ISPs like Afrihost, who I'll never touch with a 10 foot pole as a permanent ISP again (had to use them on the weekend as a result of the Vox payment not going through ), they have proven that they have no intent of looking after customers at all.

Never say never. I would love to go back to them one day if it is justified. They have a lot of proving doubters wrong to do, though, but it isn't impossible.

Well said, I agree 100%.

Yeah, I agree with the above. Used CW since Sep 2014. The support problem has been brewing for some time, even before the DDoS nonsense. That just broke the camel's back. If they get their s*** together with support and their network, I might go back again. Saying that, it's also a tough pill to swallow to effectively lose almost R1200 this month (excl lost productivity). That and all the people recently I've referred to CW now also struggling. CW would really need to somehow prove themselves, for me to consider moving back anytime soon.

Spot on.

Well said

very dissappointed to be cancelling. I really liked CW but unfortunately with no end in sight and a very poor communications strategy and no real technical plan to mitigate DDOS attacks it's over.

On the phone now getting refund and processing cancellation.

A refund? How?

Agreed. They were good. Until they were not. Then it went south really fast.

well, we speaking to each other like adults and will come to an agreement. CPA is on my side but that's counter productive. I am just engaging the guys and trying to come to a resolution that is fair for all.

It's hard to not be emotional about it however i am sure we can work it out.

For refunds, this is what they told me:
Support Warrior: Please send an email to [email protected] about the refunds

Ja, it is a bitter pill to swallow as I was an early adopter with Shaun personaly phoning me to sign me up and offering personal cell phone assistance when I had hassles.

But, the quality of service recently has not been good at all and its now time to move on. Have already signed up with WA and it was a breeze. Paid, emailed proof, Live Chat confirmed and it was active within 5 minutes. Also my internet experience is much better.

Hats off to CW. They took the ISP market by storm and really shook things around, but improve your network etc and I will surely be back.
