Crystal Web DSL performance feedback thread Part 4...

Glad to know im not alone...this is shocking and depressing...tommorow is a week!
I cant cancel either because according to the agent the line can only go to the holding pool at month-end and can only be done when they have access to make changes which openserve is not granting them right now.
They also have no ETA!
 
This is starting to reflect more on Openserve than on CW at this point. Don't get me wrong, CW screwed up extremely badly in how they handled this (and definitely in how they didn't communicate this to their customers) but now it's starting to feel like Openserve is being obstinate.
 
Spoke to billing again just now and according to the agent they can't just release the line as the system will automatically resuspend it. So they have to request it to be released via some other method which can take some time. But yes no ETA from CW and not much success from Telkom just yet.

Telkom Billing has to open a ticket with Telkom's technical support to lift the DSL portion's suspension, yes. But that usually is a few mins to an hour (inter-department tickets get addressed pretty quickly there)

Well hopefully by the time I get home we're up and running again.
 
I have requested a refund on my Line portion with CW... Im not sure if that will happen or not, but them delaying the release of my line to the holding pool, is going to cause me so much headaches with billing and pro rata fees etc
 
No ETA, This is getting ****ing ridiculous. Is there no rep on this forum?
 
My line has also been suspended for over a week. CW couldn't give me an eta on when it will be resolved.

I have finally cancelled and am now looking for a new ISP.

But if they manage your line, how do you move to a new ISP? Have they moved your line into a holding pool yet?
 
Did anyone had any success going to Telkom to unsuspend their line and is now back online?

Yeah, how did you get it into the holding pool?
They told me yeterday they can only get it into the holding pool once they have access to openserve's systems and also they can only move it to holding pool at month end, that is if they have access by then.
On the bright side, i spoke this morning to a telkom agent via chat on their website who said "she is going to escalate it and have suspension lifted" as it's still suspended on one of their systems. This was after an agent called us two days ago saying he'd lift suspension, but didnt.

10 minutes after the chat i got an SMS from telkom saying they will credit the account with an applicable credit due to being disconnected.

I told CW to refund me for the line being down. Haven’t heard back, so yeh. But I was also told the same thing, that they can’t move my line into the holding pool yet.
 
I'd move to Afrihost any day, their service was great and the whole customer control panel was also great, something CW hasn't quite mastered yet. Just with Afrihost I get loads of lag in my main game I play on Android called NEBULOUS...
CW has no lag in that game and also CW has given me my full speed for downloads the entire day unlike other ISPs where they slow you down during business hours.

Here is the thing. Just move your line to Telkom, that’s the main bit here. Your data you can leave with CW or any other ISP. I intend to keep my data with CW as I’m on a good package with them anyway, but also have a Vox account as backup
 
Stupid question. So if i get a backup account, this will not help as the problem is that the telkom line is suspended?
