Crystal Web DSL performance feedback thread Part 4...

Well I am still offline, 22 days now and counting. Tried contacting Telkom but I was told I have to contact my ISP for the data part and yes, we know how that is going.
Yikes, and they still have not send out any further communication about it.

Telkom will tell you to contact your ISP, but in mine an others peoples cases it wasn't required. Just having them unsuspend the voice portion of the line fixed the issue. The first time they said they had put through the unsuspension request, but nothing happned until I phoned them a 2nd time and they said it was still suspended and put through the request again. Within a few minutes after getting off the phone with them my line+adsl started working.

Try make a call on your landline, and if you receive the "Your Service Has Been Suspended" message, then give Telkom another call, don't mention ADSL, just ask them to unsuspend your voice line.

I see my line rental not on CrystalWeb invoice. According to chat they will send out communication about this today or Monday.
Same here. Also wanted to know and support last night didn't know either.

Wow that's insane.

I don't want to port line back to Telkom. Where to then?
Axxess slow to respond, MWEB a pet hate..

That's the trick yes...Telkom even sent me an SMS saying they'll credit an applicable amount for the inconvenience.

but now comes the scary part...it's month end...what is going to happen midnight on 31st??
Will we be disconnected again? Will our lines go to the holding pool as requested? I have requested a cancellation before the 19th yet I received an invoice for the coming month (FAQs says we pay in advance)
CW Billing Agent via chat says "telkom is still concluding the migration process" which basically means they still don't have the lines back in their control.

I received an invoice as well, but it only showed a debit for the data account, and then a credit for the data account, resulting in an invoice total of R0. There was no mention of the ADSL line on the invoice.

In the last few days though, my ADSL line has gone from a rock solid 20Mbps with a max connection rate of 21Mbps, to a wonky 9Mbps with a max connection rate of 11Mbps. I don't know if that is the result of the line being migrated back to Telkom or just bad timing for the line to go pear shaped.

Am I really going to be down for 7 days if I decide to move my line back to Telkom?

I think it's a scare tactic to keep you on, but I could be wrong.
Also they still don't have control of the lines , so it's scary what will happen midnight on 31st October....

Unless...the migration to CW will actually take place in that 7 days after the 31st, after they have money to settle outstanding debts?

Did you guys get the email about the "possible scam" payment requests? I must be honest Evonet communications really come across like they're not entirely sure what is going on and haven't thought eveything through properly.

I have already given up. Im basically just too tired now. Although, i have had no issues since my line went back online. What happens going forward is a mystery though

I've also had no issues...
I can't find any other ISP other than AH...and i don't feel like AH, so I just cancelled my cancellation and staying at CW. When i think of AH i just think of lag.

CW just had a hiccup...i think i need to get over it! They've always been reliable.

They just need to sort the line issue. I was promised an e-mail by the end of business yesterday. In the meantime our lines being held hostage with no resolution in sight.

So who else is only seeing a charge for data, and no line charge? This makes me nervous, unless we getting the line rental free now lol :crylaugh:

I'm very nervous. Cannot pay as doesn't know to whom. No mail forthcoming from Evonet. Was promised info by end of day yesterday. Telkom chat also cannot offer help.

Yes it's ****ing pathetic. They seem to be unable to communicate despite it being a giant fup from their side. I've also been promised feedback blah blah blah but three days later and nothing.

After the latest shady stuff, being taken over by inept lying fools leading to ridiculous issues and the constant BS ..... anyone staying with them now is drinking that koolaid like a boss
