SABNZB regularly gives me login errors using the news server detail from CW. Sunnyusenet, never.

There are still some authentication issues with the news server. The developers are working hard to resolve it.

I find setting connections to 10 solves everything....you sure its 15 Crystal :P?

Also dw im not using CW for my p2p thats capped all the way :P

Hi Ambrose,

I've sent you a PM. I really am trying to reach out to you to help you out with your exchange congestion issues and explaining the news server issues over the last 2 days.

The epic and classic poem Friday written and performed with a set of "music" by Rebecca Black

Due to the nature of technology installations and the fact that customs is in the mix I'd rather put my hopes on:

Would still bang.

Thanks for that slasherjdc, that sorted out connecting to the news server for me it seems.
Was also having the invalid username password error

EDIT: Well it sorted it out for all of 10 seconds haha, its back to the same issue :P

Unfortunately the international download speeds seem to be a big issue at the moment; busy trying to download a Star Citizen update and it maxes out at 11KB/s. Really looking forward to Friday's fix :)

Also, Crystal Web, your never-sleeping support staff have been great so far; they have even conducted line tests for me to see if there were any physical line problems. I do appreciate that and their constant back and forth of communication.

Hopefully all these slow international speeds are linked to that hardware issue.

I'm guessing that's a combination of shaping and the international issues. Got avg of 276k on 4meg line around six yesterday morning, and around 117 around 1 o' clock. That and your exchange is messing you up as well.

Strange feedback in this thread.
I was watching Hulu in HD last nigth without an issue.
Played CS:GO for a while at around 8 and then again at 9, pings were sub 40ms on local servers.
Streamed from Filenuke which normally gives issues, streamed just fine.

Streaming Netflix in HD for hours, brilliant performance. However this morning the line was experiencing some very strange latency on the second hope onwards, only on the CW though, on my Connection account doing some diag right now.

Replied to the PM

Guys, this is a feedback thread isn't it? So I am just providing regular feedback. I did 270GB last month on CW, which I think is ridiculously impressive from their side. If the service is good, I will say so. If the service is crap I will also say so. I know about the international issues. And accept they are being worked on.

Last week the NZB speeds for intermittently slow. This week is seems they are permanently slow. Which leads me to think something changed. And yes, I do accept my line is crap. Have no idea how to fix that or who to call. I was under the impression CW would try to contact Telkom on my behalf as I requested them to take over my line from 1 July. Unfortunately this hasn't happened yet.

I'm bloody confused

my performance has been crap since the weekend, I switched to CW on Tuesday and things got worse, yesterday was a horrific day with constant disconnects, unable to browse YouTube without constant buffering even on the lowest quality streams.

With CW's help on Tuesday I was able to report a fault to Telkom yesterday morning (after 2 port recreations). Since about 18:00 last night things have been great (still not 100% but much, much better), and there's been no sign of a Telkom techie yet

I found that changing to port 22 helped. I don't know how but it did.

Second hop hasn't yet started on the Crystal Web network - that's still Telkom's "last mile" infrastructure. The reason you may see it change when changing accounts is because of the nature of exchange congestion - it's intermittent. Also changing accounts can change things on the exchange side on occasion.

A second hop issue is not one we can really do much about other than add the details to our exchange congestion database or report on your behalf if you're a bundled customer.
