Credit card is easier imo...and you dont need a credit card to use credit system all you need is a cheque card(much easier to get)
I was paying OW by credit card, and after my last payment went through (after the 1 month notice period) I phoned my bank to stop future payments. They told me that is is not possible to stop credit card payments in advance, you can only apply to have them reversed afterwards. I suppose this makes sense, because once a vendor has your CC details they can put through any transaction they like. With CW you won't have a problem, but that can't be said for all vendors.
On the plus side you score credit card bonus points.

Furthermore, when are you releasing the pricing for Capped & Uncapped ?
ie. what date is the website going live ?

If interested in 30 - 50 GB capped / month, will you have an option to pay in advance via EFT ?

I've personally never gone with Afrihost & Axxess, even though their (capped) rates are good, as their only options are Debit Order & Credit Card. I'm sure you'd gain customers if you allow for EFT transfers, and you won't be subject to 'bad debts' if paid in advance - in fact, I'm sure you'll gain quite a few new accounts, based purely on allowing for this 3rd option.

Your added info & comments on these matters would be appreciated, even at this early stage.
More extensive pricing will be released with the launch - still quite a few boxes to check before we are go for launch.

With respect to EFTs, currently EFT is our payment system [debit orders and credit cards are one of the things that need to work properly before we are go for launch] and on launch we will be retaining EFT as a means of payment for invoicing. Payment in advance will always be welcome - although there might be some confirming of things by email to avoid confusion on our end.

There is a massive gap in the market with respect to accepting EFTs and it is one which we intend to fill

Any intention of adding contracts for reduced price?

there are a couple of challenges with with a term contract in the consumer market and for these recurring debit order billing is generally the norm, it also carries bad debt risk and so on.

But if somebody would like to pay in advance for 12 months and receive a discount we will need to work out an appropriate discount rate.

Why not offer 3, 6, 9 and 12 month advanced packages each with their own % of discount? To me personally it over complicates things from a month to month standpoint, IE if x person is unhappy he/she moves on at month end, but hey while on the subject. :)

Not sure CW would want to head down that path since their marketing is specifically aimed at no evil contracts etc.

If its not contract driven but rather cash driven "i.e. pay 11 months get one free" that would be less evil...but then what if a guy wants to leave after 5...seeing how he is not contractually bound?

Playing Wildstar this afternoon, has been fine most of the day, until I tried a public event. As soon as it started, latency shot up past 1300ms and I got disconnected. Now sitting at about 500ms (after the event, in a quiet area).

Just tried another public event, as I got close to the action, latency once again shot up. I screenshotted it at 4000ms. Tracert is once again fine.

1 of 2 things is happening: Heavy shaping / unprioritized gaming traffic or international link is wonky.

Failed login errors with the news server from Crystal Web. And the paid Sunnyusenet server simply just cannot download a thing at any sort of half decent speed on Crystal Web. Torrents going at 20 kilobytes per second. Was the first month just a fluke? Suppose a business account is my next stop.

edit: nevermind. seems my line is congested again. Wonder why my line was almost never congested last month.
