We are experiencing problems and are wanting to get as much data as possible to get to the bottom of this./

What can we do to help?

No I agree completely Steven and if you read my posts in this thread you will see all things are not great at all my side either and I have posted as such. It is a beta product and yes it is taking more time to fix than anticipated for the most part. So you will expect those kinds of replies in this thread but the poster I quoted tells us how he pulled 250 odd GB on the 2mb CW uncapped a while back and now moans about how it is worse than Telkom. I don't think any of us here are under the illusion that's things are going great at the moment for everyone.

I think most people are on edge at the moment >.<

.......what he means is you don't really belong here if all your going to do and ***** about a unlaunched product, we get it we are all feeling it now.....but honestly anyone who jumps onto a prelaunch product without a backup............i was prepared, obviously you weren't.

This is not what I was promised when I signed up. You have no idea what was promised to me by Shaun, so please mind your own business. I was never told I would have one month of great internet, then weeks of crap with no end in sight with the usual "we are working on it" or "we havent launched yet" excuses. I was told, I would get internet the way its meant to be.

I am currently manning live chats, if you could initiate a live chat and send me some data - Zertop's tool being ideal - we can go through a trouble shooting process and get a sense of what is going on.

Hi Ambrose,

You are unfortunately the victim of massive exchange congestion, as confirmed by us through your reports to us, as well as by others in this and other threads where you've posted your stats. There's very little that we can do about that. I wish there was. The perceived change in service levels is not because of us changing anything on our end with your account.

That's definitely the case but I doubt the guys at CW are sitting on their asses doing nothing.

Well then there is no better way than voicing your dissatisfaction than voting with your feet.

Alright, switching back to CW. I have grabbed Zertop's tool but I haven't checked to where it outputs it's findings...see you on live chat!

Well if i remember your traceroutes from a couple weeks ago 90% of the problems you are having aren't even their fault.....congested exchange is congested......(if you believe they are lying then go try an afrihost/axxess/webafrica 1gb trial and do a traceroute)

For those that are becoming naysayers, take a moment to pause and reflect.

If you really signed up with a brand new ISP start up with the expectation that you were going to get something so fantastic as to be other worldly then IMHO you are naive.

I honestly believe that the guys at CW have got the best of intentions and really want to create something different, however the harsh realities of being the new kid on the block have bitten early, and maybe that's not a bad thing. Imagine if they had launched with huge fanfare and suddenly running into the problems they're having now.

They're not just trying to be out the box resellers, the fact that they've got onboard with cyberweb and have managed to import a piece of kit to be installed to address a problem they've identified says quite a lot.

Guys like DJ and Paul and their backers (I'm sure they must have as I can't see this being a cheap exercise) have their reputations and credibility to uphold.

I have huge amounts of respect for the 2 gents mentioned above and I believe they're running flat out to get things running as smoothly as possible.

For them this must be the ultimate nightmare, to be wanting to launch something new and then discovering a problem pretty much beyond your control must be pretty damn stressing and I'm glad I'm not in their shoes.

If their offering is currently not working for you then make an alternative plan if you don't want to be a guinea pig, because as an early adopter that's effectively what you are.

And don't do comparison with the big boys either as even AH had huge issues for months after switching from the IS to MTN backbone.

So if your life is absolutely dependant on having a solid functioning ISP then maybe move back to one of the established players until CW have had a chance to iron out the kinks, or else get a backup account to bail you out when things wobble.

I'm happy to give CW the benefit of the doubt for now, the same as I did with AH, I just hope the CW guys don't have to struggle for as long as AH did with their IPC issues :p

My gut feel is that CW want to be a game changer, I'm willing to support them in their effort even if the ride is a bit bumpy right now.

+1 not every day you see common sense :). i feel like i'm the only one who didn't rush in without expecting to pay for a capped account at the same time(webafrica was giving away 50gb free this month :p perfect for the transition imo)

+ 2 Agree with the posts above.

I told DJ from the beginning that I was only willing to CW because I respect him on this forum. I believe he will make CW a success, and has our best interests at heart. That goes for Paul as well.

CW has not launched. For those of us that have signed up and are experiencing issues, tough. We didn't want to wait until launch, we will experience issues until everything is sorted, so for now suck it up. I've had lots of issues with the news server, not really the line, but I know NextGen is going through a tough time as well. So I'l wait it out until they fix it.

Some people are impossible to please, period...

As my line is used 80% for streaming and the rest browsing and gaming, still no real issues. netflix works, those ****ty links in XBMC works (Rarely did with Afrihost, only buffered), Defiance works flawlessly (On mweb's best day it works ok) so I don't really see a issue here, why this other guy a page back went off at CW. And then it was HIS exchange lol, man. And yes I also notice browsing on some sites are slow, some downloads take a LONG time to come down, but hey considering that the other services works so good, the ISP is still in pre launch phase and yes as mentioned this is a beta account, it's going really good.

I'm quite happy being able to browse and download at CW without any problem.

been monitoring my line closely and there's some surprising results... had a 489kbps average for an hour yesterday on my 4mb line.

I'm in the bundoes but my internets just fine...

Thank you! All those people complaining non stop about issues that they knew were there when they signed up were pissing me off. I think some people forget that that CW hasn't even launched and to expect a 100% functioning service before they do is,as you say, naive. I applaud you sir for being reasonable.

Things seem alot better this morning. I can ping my FFXIV server without losing a package. Hopefully it stays that way.

Edit: and it's back to dropping packets

I totally agree, however some sort of time frame would be nice so that planning can be done. As said its expensive to do CW + backup cap. Sadly I see D3 is still all over the place, I'd guess then ESO would be the same. Back to cap for now :(
