So when can we download files over http again? :/ I would love to grab the 1+GB of iOS 7.1.2 because I really need to reflash my iPad and the same goes for my Xperia Z2, I would love to download the unbranded UK image that also sits in the 1GB range. I tried to download the Z2 image and it started off great, but at 5am it all went pear shaped, from getting full 4mb line speeds it dropped right down into the 20kb/s. So CW when can we expect http downloads to stop being shaped aggressively?
Try XDA for your Z2 unbranded they often have mega.co.nz links which allows multiple connections(aka fullspeed in download managers ,got my unbranded 4.4.2 for my tablet last week)

Apologies for the late responses guys. We are attending the Internetix conference today. Got to see some great presentations from Michio Kaku which made my day.

But on to the topic at hand: the shaping will be released soon. We're in negotiations at the moment with various parties to have this resolved as soon as possible. You may have noticed that this is not limited to Crystal Web - we've admitted the problem and we've actually taken steps to ensure customers' connections are affected as little as possible. We will continue to do this and we'll continue to improve the speeds as we go along. It's a work in progress in this respect.

Hi CW

What happened to the exchange monitoring details?
Weren't we suppose to get feedback?

We've been monitoring the data and I'm still not happy with it, which is why we haven't sent out the data to everyone yet. The algorithm does a good job of pulling macro-data but it doesn't scale down to the granularity that we'd expect, and rather than send what amounts to nonsense data to customers we're instead trying to refine the algorithm. BUT, current issues take preference with us so the exchange monitoring has taken a back seat. We will try to pick this up again as soon as the last remaining connectivity issues are resolved.

No problem.
As far as I know my exchange is okay. Just wanted to know if I could info on the exchange.

You can. Drop a mail to support or hop on live chat and request the data and we'll send it through. Like I said, the granularity of the data is not refined enough, but from a macro perspective it does provide decent info.

Thanks Shaun the 20Mbs account is working perfect now, needed that port reset. You guys are Stars!

Not a problem at all. Glad you're up and running.

Just a quick note though: you're operating at the very boundaries of SNR, in fact a little low to be honest. It's going to be difficult to pinpoint any speed issues. As an example you're reporting as low as under 6dB at times on the downlink side and at 20Mbps that really can cause issues.

I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news though, so let's see how it plays at those figures and take it from there. ;)

Happy that you're up and running though.

Thanks, I noticed a bit of fluctuation on the SNR. My home-made telephone extension will be getting a revamp this week-end. With a bit of luck I should be able to get at least a nine. I know I'm on the very boundary 1.3km from the exchange. Next step is to entice my employer to give me FTTH. :D

I'd be quite surprised if you can affect the SN ratio on the last few metres of a 1.3km (or more?) run. Having said that the SN ratio does seem to vary for some reason or other. I find in summer when the rains come, my SN ratio gets worse.
