In order to ensure DJ gets some rest... yes he was up at 1AM this morning still, I, as a user can try and assist with some things such as set-up, DNS and others.

What I have noticed is that some speed-test sites give abysmal results/no results, I presume this is due to the way the network is configured right now and will change as soon as DJ has his own thing i.e. it doesn't show up as "Cybersmart" The result, of some speed tests in my case, is false because I can max my line out with some torrents very easily, right up to around 9Mbps. I also suspect its to do with my browser because lately Firefox and this forum are not playing so nice.

Can I ask the stupid question? How do I do a tracert to the stream from Netflix? Grabbing the url from the address bar does not help.

You can monitor this using Windows' Resource Monitor, In Task Manager, go to Performance, and then at the bottom you see Resource Monitor button. Then in there you can monitor your network and which connection is taking the most bandwidth etc.

Or you can use a bandwidth monitoring application.

Maybe try this - might just help ;) : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-problems?utm_expid=65912487-41.djHNRQY0RhaLvvtvcd0BQA.2&utm_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.co.za%2F

No sleep last night - up till 2pm today, had 40 winks and now back to the grindstone.

Re: speedtests - we use them as indicative, but not definitive at all as they are notoriously unreliable.

There are occasional international link issues that we're working on behind the scenes to resolve and they may result in occasional speed fluctuations to international sites.

So far though we (and by the looks of things users) are happy with real world performance of these accounts...

This is most useful to have running in your taskbar http://www.softperfect.com/products/networx/

Hey don't worry about me, I was just saying for those who think the link is bad because sometimes there's a funny on speedtest. You need sleep mate. You need to be careful of burn-out.

I am perfectly happy, I got to watch a lot of movies this weekend. Couldn't do much else, due to pneumonia and being stuck indoors.

hmmm... wheres copa and how is the d3 for it?

I seem to have lag or something :(

All of our EU Diablo tests are returning consistently sub 200ms latency. We've noticed packet loss on the US link between London and USA though which is spiking latency on occasion and has been escalated accordingly from our side, but tests to 63.240.104.93 still show sub 250ms latency, as an example.

Know that we are constantly monitoring this for our Diablo customers. We obviously can't be playing the game on our side, so we run automated tests to the various servers...

I'll give it another bash just now... Just catching up on all the "testing" I missed due to having to be at work instead of home

Still early days and I'm sure it will go awesome :D

...Initial report: So far so good. Well done CW!

I haven't had a chance to actually play D3 for more than twenty minutes with the account yet, will probably give it an hour later tonight and see how it goes.

I've checked again. Its now unplayable from 400-800ms, perhaps its something in PTA/JHB wtf area. sigh... I'll see how it goes later. Perhaps a path ping or something.

// fetch pingplotter

It's the same for me stays between 330ms-400ms

tracert and pathping shows sub 200ms

here we go looking at resource manager this is what I see

diabloiii.exe: 80.239.210.246: ±177-330
diabloiii.exe: 80.239.208.193: ±176
battle.net.exe: 80.239.208.193: ±177

I've been watching a few episodes of Hunted on XBMC from propmptfile.com. It is as if I had the files downloaded on my local drive!

Great work guys!!

Keep the data coming in for Diablo, please. The more we have to work with the better. Seems there is nothing wrong with our international link, but rather a possible routing issue resulting in slightly higher latency in Europe somewhere. What I can say is that we talk to the telia.net network perfectly, and in our tests this part of the Diablo link is often responsible for packet loss, but we'll keep investigating...

Busy watching Barbarians vs England on Skysports1HD without a single glitch. 720p
