I have done this before...it seems the primary router cannot cope.
I am looking for a solution. Have you got one.

But yeah I have 3 routers myself, mainly due to the Android devices that don't have strong radios, and my saying always is why put everything wireless on one router if you can spread the load. But my RB750 handles dhcp and everything else.
