So, I'm currently paying R329 for 4mpbs uncapped. I need to pay R100 more per month to stay on the same package, or R50 more per month to move down to the basic package?

The news server is great, but I seldom do more than 150GB in a month, a large portion of that being scheduled downloads. So an unshaped capped account for under R300 makes more sense for me.

I actually know your usage pattern quite well, as it was part of a test pool we ran while evaluating accounts.

Fusion is right for you. ;)

I need a little bit more information regarding the Fusion account. I'll PM you or contact support tomorrow afternoon when I am at home.

Before I read this mail (well, I did have a peruse), I just had a brainwave!

Have 3 tiers, but keep it time based, low, medium and high, always unshaped while you're within the boundaries, therefore keeping the gamers happy while they play as that doesn't chow data, the light users happy, and the heavy users happy, and special folks like mika can get a special rate :p keeping overnight free for all?

EDIT: I just realised I did a Romark! :p

We'll keep you on your current pricing (but you must talk to support about it) for the standard basic uncapped, not a problem - no price increase there. :)

But please make sure that nntp is scheduled properly and no p2p during the day whatsoever or the shaper does kick in on those accounts.

Lol. No offense taken, I think.
:)

I started making some suggestions based on the mail, then I thought I did a Romark (just ragging you coz you were the most vocal at the time, not picking on you :)), I am a nice guy (I think) :D

That's just unshaped all of the time for all customers, unless I'm reading it wrong.

We ran permutation after permutation to get this right. Tiering the access is essential.

No, all good.
I was just playing around.
I never thought you attacked me or anything negative.

I mean unshaped to a point.

What that point is depends on what you're paying.

EDIT: Time based I mean. Short, longer, longest.

Split into time-categories as well?

That would be the world's most complex ISP account to create, manage, bill, support, and market. :D

Ok, so the email I just read concerns me...

Does that mean all early bird customers lose their benefit and would have to migrate to a package specified in that email?

Talk to us on chat, please. It's far easier and more efficient than this, and as per the mail, we're open to discuss things with you guys on an individual basis. Can't do that on the forum.
