Do you need full speed nntp and p2p at all times?
We're going to introduce capped as well, but we've got some awesome ideas for that too. It's now a technical limitation that's preventing us from introducing it just yet.
Yeah, for me capped accounts are the way to go!
Uncapped in SA is too much of a fruit salad tbh! Too many variables/unknowns. One is always speculating, when performance is down. Is it shaping? is it throttling? is it the network? is it exchange congestion? etc etc etc With the capped accounts I'm currently using I know if performance is off it's Telkom related 99% of the time. No need for me to harass my ISP and burden their call centre running trace routes and/or other performance related tests. Get Telkom to recreate the port and we sorted...
I would imagine capped is also more easily managed for an ISP! No guessing what capacity is required for the upcoming months, no having to teach customers about shaping and throttling, no uncertainties regarding margins, no bandwidth hogs like mika100 doing 1000's of gb's every month...
I may be wrong though...
