Crystal Web (NEW ISP) ADSL Feedback

And also TBH any AIO device is crap. Either speed degrades over time, restart of router needed, router dial's ADSL fine, but internet via WI-FI is slow or non existent. My linksys, Netgear and TP-Link with built in adsl, they are used as repeaters now, that works GREAT. Personally if you want great internet you work in 3 stages. Modem, RB750 (Or any other device that manages your ADSL, DHCP, QOS etc....), Wireless Routers.

of course this is ideal, but I was suggesting a cheap solution as he said "cash is tight right now"

Oh sorry missed the R500 part, apologies. For some odd reason I saw R1500 in my head the whole time lol. TP-Link is very good yes, my preferred router as well in this scenario.
 
Crystal Web out of interest sake, a service like Unotelly, will it degrade the internet experience speed wise or not really? I have always wondered about this, why I choose to run Hola on a browser dedicated just for that purpose.

I havnt tried unotelly in years but i know their smartDNS services shouldnt degrade it as all it really does is change location data :/

It shouldn't degrade speed, but because it's an external DNS provider it makes it more difficult to offer full support, as we have zero insight into their DNS services.

please try to support that and unlocator then :O

Just tested your news server with a distro and was getting great speeds 900kb when i disabled net limiter(roommate said i could test it ^^ )

was actually doing the max speed of afrihost capped account ive been using while mweb is giving the 50kb throttle **** litterally cant wait to test my adsl account on the first :D especially if all your products are that high quality

If they ever open their DNS up for us to manage, sure. Until then, there's nothing that we can do about it. We can only support our own DNS services.

i can't even tell the difference of using it and not using it other than the fact that netflix works :P
never had any problem with it or speed loss
not to mention the trial is...well...youll see if you go to the website :P
