Hi all,

NNTP service should be fixed now. Thanks for your patience and of course to our nntp partners.

BTW, if you haven't yet received your news server login details, please contact support.

Is it difficult to add a login with your mybb username button so the account Display name shows your mybb nick but account name registered under the real name? Am sure in time improvements will come :D.

Hi Yuu,

I've added the option of the mybroadband or mygaming username to the field list for live chat and ticket submissions. Many thanks for this suggestion. :)

This is a feedback thread so here is some feedback.

Netflix played for hours last night no issues, tested torrents and got line speed, tested the news server and got line speed. As we know HTTP is a little slow but nothing I couldn't handle. Once the international issue is fixed this account will be blistering! I am an extremely happy camper.:D

I don't expect any CW reply till after 12:00....go get some sleep.

WOW!! Thanks, i feel like a temporary internet celebrity on the forum now :D.......CrystalWeb...turning ordinary schmucks / forum members into temporary Celebrity Superstars :p

Thank you for listening to me even if i haven't joined onboard just yet :). Gives me a warm fuzzy feeling and i can't wait to jump in with all the users here and give a firm recommending to family and friends. The reign of other iSPs are coming to an end. Time for Crystal Web of Thrones to begin (?)

Sending a PM now.

I can be honest, even if I had the worst Internet experience with CW which I don't, I would still stick with them because of this.

Treat your customers like gold and like they are the only ones on earth and you will have loyalty like you wont believe. - Especially in this industry.

I get quite a lot of packet loss to some international servers. Is this the problem with that broken link? Didn't want to read through all the posts.

Haven't seen A's and B's in almost 18 months!
Both my previous ISP's returned C and D's.

Cool thanks, was wondering whether to contact support or not. I'll just wait it out then. Also when was it expected to be fixed? Last I read the part was at customs and it should be fixed soon?

Here's my 2c on my first day with CW:

Downloads, browsing, p2p, steam, all good.

Gaming, and streaming, not so good unfortunately (most likely to do with international link issues).

In regards to gaming, I got home to play some League of Legends (which is based in EU) at about 4 yesterday afternoon. I noticed immediately that my ping was higher than normal. I swapped over to my Afrihost account and pings returned to normal. It slowly got worse between 4 and 6 PM, at which point I decided to do other stuff. I checked my CW account again much later at 9 PM, and my latency was sitting at a flat 300 MS in League of Legends. I played some Dota on the local SA servers and it was perfect since it was local. I checked this every little while and my ping slowly started to drop at about 11 PM in LoL. By about 11.45 it was sitting at the expected +-200 MS.

In regards to streaming, I wanted to watch the EU LCS for LoL and had issues. The Youtube stream was freezing frequently. The Twitch stream was a bit better. The Azubu stream ran almost perfectly at 720p. However, I should note that I was able to watch other youtube videos without any general issues, so this may be a weird isolated problem. Unfortunately I was not able to test the streams with my afrihost account but I will try to do so tonight.

Again, this is taking into account they have a hardware issue, so I'm not pissed or anything, just adding my 2c for people to read. I will reply to this thread again once the hardware issue has been resolved.

Also tested my line with unlocator and Netflix, was AWESOME. Youtube also great, just browsing for me was a tad slow and I did not even try to play Defiance, as it sucks 50% of the time on mweb and AH also regarding latency.

I find CS:GO gaming pings to be lower on CW than AH.

I don't game on international servers much though.

Gaming and streaming the only issue for me at the moment, rest is good, but i'm happy to wait a few more days until they have resolved their international issues :)

Did a couple of Http downloads this morning and it wasn't great.
It would start of at 430kB/s and then gradually slowdown.(4Mbps line) It is now sitting at 80kB/s. (Plex media server update.)
Same happened to a 90MB YouTube clip I downloaded.

I hope this part of the Link problem, as this acts like a capacity issue?
