I don't need the IS account as long as streaming is okay. Like I said I am not really at home this weekend and it looks like I will be day shift next week due to the strike so no need for performance during the day for me :p.
 
Same. As long as netflix works, I'm ok ;)

My wife has been complaining I play too much D3 anyway, so this is a blessing in disguise :D

I told my wife that she could always have a husband that goes to a bar every night and plays golf on wknds.
She told me the other night that she actually doesn't mind me playing games because of just that reason.
I am home and still being a dad and husband.
I cook, clean, do the washing, etc. and then I game the rest of the time lol :)
 
Didnt have time to test last night, but my downloads have been perfect for the past few weeks. will have to test gaming as thats the only area I had issues

I love cooking when I get the opportunity, luckily when I offer my help with washing she declines (BONUS).
 
Did a tracert his morn and a few last night and my pings have dropped, 250ms to the US and speed test shows line speed. I was worried at one point where I was monitoring my bandwidth as Netflix wasn't playing back at 480p and I saw that the throughput was jumping between 250kbps to 1.8mpbs whereas earlier this week I was doing the same and the throughput spiked to 1.8 and stayed there...will test again tonight to see if it was an isolated incident.

I noticed with my game last night, the ping was crazy in the first 2 minutes, but the more I played the better the ping and gaming experience got. Retested it again and same. But definitely not complaining, as long as it is playable.
 
I'm very happy. my download speeds are up to 442kbps and average around 360kbps. could not he happier.

my browsing can be a tad slow at times but its not a problem.

it seem in this case to pay off to be staying in the bundu's...
 
And this is why I will not go back to my previous ISP.

but in general we're receiving less complaints and more positive feedback with the shaping changes we're testing. For most "everyday" clients, this gives them better performance on their priority services, and ultimately better value for their spend for an Uncapped account.

And this is why I will ALWAYS stay with CW.

We've tested all of today and tonight and we agree that certain speeds are unacceptable. It really breaks our hearts as we wanted everything to be top-notch for you guys. We really did. Our fault entirely.

If you still have issues, contact support and we'll move you over to a different backbone, at no cost to you, with a brand new account from mid-month. Please contact us ASAP as we run a 24 hour support desk and can have you on the new backbone within minutes.

We are so sorry about this, everyone. Really we are. We thought we had the best solution but it's taking far too long to implement and it's not right for us to project our problems over to you.

We will send out an email to everyone affected later tomorrow, but those with issues (especially in Gauteng) please contact us and we'll move you over to a new backbone immediately. We're sorry we couldn't fix the problem in time. We truly are, and we're moving everyone who has an issue to the new backbone because we sincerely care about you having a connection that works. Right now we accept that that the Crystal Web accounts are not working as advertised, so let our support team know and we'll move you over.

Lol, true, but thankfully I do have a life outside of gaming, and recently went out with someone for a bit. I just know that I like being single and that marriage ain't for me. I prefer to do my own thing far too much.
