Fully understand mika's point of view, and frankly I'm not very far from following too.

This "fix" has been coming for months now, it's been promised over and over and over and it just never happens or never reach a point where it is actually FIXED.

The fact that serious maintenance is being done affecting customers, without *any* notification leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. CW can at the very least just make a post in this thread stating we are doing maintenance from a till b...

Not the first time this has happened, and it won't be the last time either, I'm sure.

You forgot to mention that they provided each user with a month and a half's IS accounts at their cost. No other ISP will do that either. And as mentioned numerous times before, they have not officially launched yet. If some users would not have leaked the information (not blaming anyone here) they would have had much more time to get things ready. They were thrown into the deep end and you jumped in with them knowing what you were getting yourself into.

But honestly, weren't you a bit to hasty? A small fix and you could be fine again. :)

Really, you're going to cancel and not even BOTHER to contact support mika1000?

Thats poor form on your part but each to their own.

if he wants to leave let him, honestly I think he's been here awhile and anyone who joined in July most likely has a negative opinion, he's probably not leaving because of this but because being a Guinea pig was hard on him.
He was not prepared like we were :P.
they are very transparent if you think they aren't just message Paul through pm.
(can't always be completely open with you on live chat as you've chat goes on record.)
@Savage they might not be able to say who is doing maintenance if they have a NDA or something similar with CSmart .......at least I think they inferred that when they did not confirm that email was what was going on. and saying the exact time and date from the email posted here would basically be spelling it out.
[slasherjdc] has earned the achievement [Reading between the lines.]

I joined in July, and yes there have been bad days, but there have been good days, and the performance and stability seems to be imporving. I very definitely have a positive opinion of the company, especially in the way they interact with clients.

We've honestly been waiting for you to contact support. Seems it was a minor glitch that needed to be resolved by moving you back to the correct IP range, but we cannot process this sort of thing from a forum post. We needed you to get in touch.

Sorry to see you go because of today's issues. :(

I've been on the 105.xxx.xxx.xxx ip range. no problems. great speed. could download. stream. game.

now been switched to the 41.xxx.xxx.xxx ip range and now I kno why everyone's complaining.

cant browse, download, stream or game for that matter.

I do believe that the "upgrade's" not going to change anything.

I'm not going to spend hours with support and in a months time its still the same. NO.

I'm also really close to jumping. I'll contact support this evening. But I can't live anymore with HTTP downloads going 15KBps anymore and web pages loading too long, or unplayable online gaming. I'm fine with NNTP/P2P being shaped. But there are no reasons for Linux updates/app downloads going at 15-30KBps. The only thing that was working perfect was Netflix. I actually loved my IS account from CW. Never had a single problem with it.

This may seem stupid, but have you tried pointing your Linux mirrors to IS? Updates go line-speed this side.

Ok....can you not read? The fact that your on 41.xxx.xxx.xxx is the problem....no one is meant to be on that you have to talk to support.....they arnt contractually allowed to make a change to your account without you going on support.....
