Streaming one 720p netflix show is 1.8GB per hour, roughly.

Daughter was watching while I played D3, no negative impact :) PS3 netflix client doesn't let you set quality...

It takes the settings you have from pc. When set to low it was giving me 360p sd was giving me 480-720 (very rarely) and hd was giving 720-1080 ....I think quality settings affect bitrate more than resolution though

Ah, ok. That's not available at all on the PS3 client. I will poke around via PC this afternoon - thanks :) I'd prefer less compression and lower resolution to be honest...

I tested this as well. On pc via browser went into my settings of Netflix, everything on SD. On TV I have a Android 4.3 stick, max it goes is about 700kbps.
 
So once again, Telkom just closes my ticket without resolving the issue. I told them CW advised there's issues with my port at the Exchange but nothing gets done :(

Good marketing actually. Giving each customer a taste of what unshaped is. Not saying that is what CW is doing though, but I would lol.

I know the feeling. Thats happened to me many times. My theory is if the technician gets a difficult case he closes the ticket, you then phone in again and it gets assigned to another technician.
 
Does anyone know if Xbmc can cache it's files locally? IE if you have a add-on like lets say Project Free Tv, I watch Supernatural and my wife decides to watch Supernatural 2 hours after me, that it can rather pull the video cached on a server than the internet again? Will save a ton of bandwidth my side, as I watch in my man cave and she on a tablet.

That particular service would need to run a caching system, or they could invest in distribution over a proper CDN network instead. Not going to happen with these, um, "free" services. Or you could start your own local caching server on a locally hosted VPS, and point your XBMC library to the VPS instead? So in essence move your downloads to a VPS (yay, save us some international bandwidth), automate them, put them into a proper folder structure, setup your network to allow secure connection from only your machines to that VPS, recreate your library entirely, set it up with SQL to update the paths correctly, and effectively stream from your VPS each time on a local connection. Host the VPS on a decently peered network with us and we're all happy.

easier to use NZBs, NZBdrone, and Plex ;)

btw... I don't think i'm paying you enough for my account... Please can you make a CW Gold account and charge me more?
