Aren't you letting the cat out the bag again :p :)
Lol, I don't think so.
Unless the midnight downloads don't count against my 100GB unshaped datadata, that unshaped will be used up during the month.
I own 2 PlayStations and a Steam account and those updates are big and I need the occasional pc driver on demand.

I'm trying to figure out what the impact would be on httpdownloads.

Nobody has PM'ed me yet about this email but the more info you share the better picture I'm formulating in my head what this mail says :p If it's still a secret then you're going to be sent to the naughty mat :p

I would like to put it on record that, even tho I'm happy with my current provider (barring 1 niggle), I am keeping 1 eye on this ISP for 1 reason, and that is their news server's retention, this would make me move at the end of the day.

I think the packages are very well balanced and are innovative. I like the "standard" package a lot.
I just would like the info I asked to plan. Don't think there is much of a "naughty mat" tbh, but it does depend on harsh the shaping would be.

hmmm this basic uncapped sounds a bit scary. Wish I could try it with my streaming and gaming though, but hey i'le just eat one less takeaway a month. :p

We posted all of the letters to all customers to your registered street addresses. Please look out for the news over the coming days and weeks.

:p

You do know that the bloody post office is again striking in certain areas :p.

Will support be able to give me an idea on what type account I need if I give them my requirements?

Still don't know what you're talking about :p

It's time-based, so dependent on line speed. If your account runs an http download in peak hours at full line speed, it will shape it down - if it sustains, it will shape it a little more. This means that you don't ever get nailed for small http downloads during the day, but large 150MB+ downloads sustaining will for example result in shaping on that download (no longer the account, only the download).

This is why we give you those free unshaped gigs. Go grab those large http downloads if you want with that data as and when you need it. There's enough there for 2 massive games and more. We've also removed the standard shaping that would have seen nntp and p2p during the day shaping an account - people asked that they not be required to manage this themselves and we rather do it. So we listened, and we blocked it. And we moved the bandwidth into high priority pools as well for gamers, and opened VPN use as well within reason of course (not bypassing shaping, for example).

It's an epic account, at epic pricing in our opinion.

The basic uncapped is an entry product - guys asked us to increase the value proposition on our standard accounts and we did so, but we had to reduce other aspects then on other accounts. The entry product took the knock there, but we did reduce the costs as well as it really is an entry level product, not intended for large amounts of streaming, gaming, and downloading.

They are ready to talk now to do so, yes.

Thx for the explanation.
I think for my personal household, this is a very nice solution.

I actually know your usage pattern quite well, as it was part of a test pool we ran while evaluating accounts.

Fusion is right for you. ;)

Now time for my white and chocolate pronutro mix midnight snack. :D
