Read a few pages back that you are looking at introducing capped option. Will this be available anytime soon? And will it be competitive compared to Afrihost? At the moment, they really are winning hands down...

Next year, January 1st 2015 new years special, 20c per gb. :p The fine print, you are only allowed to buy 5 GB max and only applies to the first 2 customers with Mikrotik routers and who play's Defiance. :p

Please help, I been waiting for support to mail me my ticket number from 5am this morning. I spoke with Matt again today around 8ish becoz the temp account stopped working (thats fixed now). Also I'm waiting to know when can I start using my Fusion account, it wasn't authenticating this morning, hence why they gave me a temp account.

Can you assist me as well. My Uncapped/Unshaped account was not working when I tried it this morning. Support gave me a temp account to use which also stopped working. Went onto support and they said they will get back to me ..... Can you please pm me another temp account as the one I am using is a 1gb free account and I am worried it will be used up soon and I will be unable to connect at all.

These accounts should be sorted now. Let me know if there are any issues.

We will release this when both the time, price, and product are to our satisfaction.

I really, really want to comment on the aforementioned ISP's "capped" offerings but we can't.

Test general performance and results from the mybb speedtests if need be. And Ookla. They all use different protocols, methods, and are subjected to their own network constraints at times as well.

Also, please contact support for these so we can investigate for you. That's why we've got the guys there 24 hours per day if need be.

I tested the same site with my telkom account and it gets 3.39MB (see edited post) but I hear you and I'll test some streaming sites to check real world performance. Ookla is heavily prioritised coz even with the IPC issues I always got line speed on Ookla.

How are people expected to contact live support if their connection is not working?

I have to go onto my wives tablet and use her vodacom gigs to buy Afrihost data.
Loads of people don't have this facility so what is the solution?

EDIT: Tested movieshd.co and netlimiter showing utilization at 3.87% :D that's all I needed to see.
Now it's off to test XBMC on the Android TV stick

I liked it when the Skype option was there, a lot of people have Skype on their phones and data is cheaper than airtime. :)
 
Is getting support to mail you your usage the only way to see your usage?
 
Guys, please use support as a first line of support, and not my PMs. I'm available if you get no help there or need other assistance, but you will always get a faster turnaround talking to an agent rather than PMing me.

Please use me for escalations of issues. First line support is available by email, live chat, or social media.

011 425 4078 - live chat is best though, and if you get no luck give us a call. Calls though tend to be a case of "state your query" then be on hold in awkward silence for 5 minutes while an agent runs tests. :D

We're changing all of this tonight, so users will get usage reports.

We're having to run this on our old system though which is a little awkward and incorrect because it states that there is a cap, which is not correct. ignore that if you see it. The cap will be your unshaped allocation for the month before shaping kicks in. Soon there will be a pretty awesome usage report sent out daily instead. For now though we'll be using the old system.

Schweet, I cant wait to see what the CP looks like. Coming from Ti (we only had a usage bar) it's going to be a breath of fresh air.

Wait, that's just a mail. The customer portal I'm actually sitting with the developer now working on. But yes, it is epic. :D
