@CW

last night i lagged like a mofo in BF4 - but it seemed across all accounts... what tier does gaming get? and i assume while on unshaped it remains tier 1 regardless? if i unbolt the unshaped from fusion, would that be better for gaming than entry level uncapped? (speaking of... how's my usage this month?? :P)

Hmmm? I don't really follow this thread, but what is this free unshaped data you speak off? :)

its their bait marketing... you start with free unshaped data... then they sign you up for 12 months because you want a mikrotik... then you'll want to sign up for unshaped uncapped data....

before you know it, you'll be short a kidney or 2 to finance your addiction. you have been warned.

P.S. If you wanna sign up, please use my referral code....

To everyone else, i called dibs!

Any idea, more or less in weeks, when the mikrotik deals thing will start? I need to get a new modem soon, and I will probably be the first one signing up for the 12 month contract. I'm sure CW will just get better and better in those 12 months, I've been happy for the last month and at least when you contact support, the people know whats going on.

Gaming is prioritised on Fusion accounts no matter whether you're shaped or not. Gaming traffic gets priority.

Entry accounts have a slightly lower priority but we're playing with this entry product to add some more value to it. We may increase the performance of the entry account but just add a threshold based on time of day usage on the account instead.

In other words these are basic home accounts, that give you great performance day and night. But should your usage during business hours be excessive, you'll whack the FUP and have the account deprioritised.

Currently the account deprioritises the moment you touch p2p or nntp during the day - we're considering removing this entirely, giving you decent speeds if you choose to use it during the day, but should your usage find you in the top 10% of daytime usage for your account speed, you'll find your account deprioritised instead.

This sound like a very decent account and miles ahead of most Home accounts by other ISP's.

The Mikrotik is not a modem btw... its a router... you would still need an ADSL modem.

That's because CW is miles ahead of other ISP's :D

This could be true, but I haven't tried all of the ISP's out there, most noticeably Vox. I haven't tried them and it seems the guys are mostly happy.

This I can say. My account is running great and the interaction with CW reps and staff are top notch and is unrivaled in my opinion.

It is not only the fact that the company owners/reps are very accessible, it is the seemingly transparency that are shown to us and also the attitude of giving back to us in various ways.
I'm not getting company lines and bull**** when possible issues are being discussed.
You get the truth, although it might not be what you want to hear at times.

Unfortunately, changes are very good that this will disappear once CW's client base grow. It is not an accusation, but a natural trend in my opinion.

I wish we could stay small as a client base, as it interaction is very personal and there is a very friendly vibe between all in this thread.
That is unrealistic though, unless we all want to pay a lot more and I do wish for CW succeed in this venture and for that CW needs clients and a lot as well.

All in all, I'm pretty sure once CW launch with everything in place, the other ISPs must face the fact that they are going to lose clients to CW.
Something this good will not be ignored for long.

I think if your check the VOX thread it's not all smiles and roses at them moment.

I fully agree that the true test/acid test if you must, will be maintaining this level of service when their subscriber base grows.
I have no doubt that DJ and Paul are already prepared if not preparing for such an eventuality.

I'm willing to pay more if it means helping maintain this excellent service level and data throughput :)

We'll always make time to interact personally with you guys. It is something that sets us apart and we realise that, and we'll always endeavour to keep the relationship as personal as we can with as many of you as we can as well. :)

Thanks for the spectacular feedback, guys.

Thanks for the spectacular interwebs :D

Why?
Is that going to solve his issue?
He's asking if anyone outside of the EC is having the same issues.
Not asking for a different streaming service.

The way I understand it, is that his issue is a problem, as it prevents him watching the cricket without buffering. An alternative stream could alleviate that problem until the initial issue is rectified.
If RoMark finds my post unhelpful, then I apologise, but I don't understand why you should be irritated by proxy.

Try crictime.com
I did, but it wasn't great either.
i also tried my capped backup account, with a slightly better result, but the quality was low.

I did another power recycle and tried it again just before the SA batting innings stopped and that seemed to sort it for me.
Running great atm @200kB/s

Have to agree. I'm on the 10Mbps uncapped unshaped and it is the best service level i have ever had from an ISP.
Keep up the great work CW! And can't wait for the user CP and for the exchange monitoring to take flight.

Still got Vevo buffering. If I look at the Gargoyle logs the Apple TV is pulling just over 100KB/s (10meg line).

Would expect it to run a lot faster. Got the device setup 1st in QOS and allocated to the DAD profile (get's full speed), so there is no limitation there. Even tried with QOS off. (Does not buffer on WA when I tested it on my test account)

I do note I have to change my ATV setting to run trailers in SD otherwise they take forever to load....
