My experience regarding mac/iBollie with some fanboys at work:
Day 1:
fanboy: "I installed this (aircraft Navigation) program on the aircraft laptop but it is unable to update the database."
Me: "OK, I'll come have a look." (Sitting there for 5-10 min trying to see what it wrong, open up google and search something) "Internet is working. Did you restart the laptop?"
fanboy: "No, is it necessary to restart?"
Me: (Thinking: Duh {"No **** sherlock"}, program most probably said restart after installation, but OK.....) "Let's see what happens after restart." ...Restarting laptop.
Me: (starts nav program, update database) "See, working, anything else?"
fanboy: "No, thank you, I didn't know I have to restart."
Me: "Pleasure, have a nice day."
Day 2:
fanboy: "Oh, come quickly, there is a few people that cannot connect to the WiFi!"
Me: "OK, here I am, what now?"
fanboy: "I rebooted the modem/router and now everybody is on the WiFi. We are sorted."
Me: (Duh...{"Thank you captain obvious"}
Moral of the story: reboot, try again then trouble shoot further.
Sorry, if any iBoy takes offense, sorry. reboot or command override (did I say it right? please correct me if I wrong) or whatever you call it. Windows needs to restart after installation of certain programs.
P.S. I am not a Mac/iPhone/iPad/iPod/iTv/iCr@p fan. So bite me if you don't agree
