Do we have any Valorant servers in ZA yet? It seems like Valorant makes it easy to hit shots.

Valorant is a hero shooter, and the aim and movement mechanics are almost CS 1.6 like. No, we won't have the proposition to have servers whilst in lockdown.

CSGO Source 2 port release date reportedly revealed
CS:GO’s long-awaited port to the modern Source 2 engine could be just around the corner, with numerous hints pointing towards a mid-May release.

...

So, what’s the date in mind? May 18, for now at least. This date isn’t plucked from thin air from Valve News Network’s “two month” timeframe back in March. Two key indicators have led CS:GO players to believe that Source 2 will be dropping then.

The first of them was an announcement by Chinese website B5 on Weibo. The exclusive platform, similar to FACEIT or ESEA, implied that Source could be coming on May 18.

...

They are prepping their servers for the engine’s possible release on that date, and making sure all their features are working just fine by then. However, the May 18 date also lines up with a potential release of Steam in China, so this could fudge the numbers.

The second source is a CS:GO private beta currently active and being used in tournaments. The Road to Rio qualifiers for the November Major are currently running on build 1.37.4.8. An update for this build was pushed on April 20, stating it will expire on May 18.

This lines up with the end of the Road to Rio qualifiers, but also the rumored date from B5, and lies in the two months given by VNN.

...

However, as with all things relating to Source 2, it’s only speculation until Valve drops the official announcement. The CS:GO developer does hold their cards close to their chest, so take everything you see with a grain of salt until then.

Source 2’s engine update for CS:GO will overhaul the game entirely. From graphics to physics and everything in between, playing CS after the port to the modern engine will feel remarkably different.

No, the Source 2 update won't overhaul the game entirely. It will enable more native hardware support which should possibly resolve the stuttering many are experiencing with newer hardware. Allowing the game to be more GPU-centric will be bliss, especially with Vulkan support.

Code optimisations will be welcomed, considering that we may experience higher tick rates with lower resource requirements. In addition to this, reduced lags which was welcomed by the Dota2’s community.

For physics, that would require both the assets and the maps to be compatible. I don’t see the small CSGO dev team and map devs go bonkers with physics. The same with graphical improvements, though there will enhancements with the new compatibilities and capabilities.

I don’t know what they are planning to change. I reckon more optimal hardware support and higher tick rates on the public servers. The most notable change will be how nades behave, but third-party service players already know that, and the only other element which will change is how your scripts (and binds) will behave with 128 tick.

I highly doubt they will introduce 128 tick servers, and even if they do, the anti cheat is so bad it won't help playing MM. Sad reality is the game doesn't suck because of the toxic player base, it sucks due to the amount of smurfing and the amount of cheaters that just get away because of the bad anti cheat.

Riot is using it as a selling point to sell Valorant. Steam needs to create value to retain their target market.

Valve have a long-term plan with VAC, seeing that VACnet is still an embryo. VACnet has a lot to learn. In my opinion, it seems HestiaNet is working, and Valve needs to negotiate with the young coder to implement or even integrate it alongside VACnet. The day VACnet is intelligent, they are going to throw it right back at the devs leveraging SteamWorks. Valve needs to create value within Steam (and Steamworks), seeing that Epic, which many hate, is actually supporting the devs more so than Valve.

Cheating in Valorant is already being complained about and their anti-cheat was another of their selling points. Their anti-cheat runs in kernel mode too which is way more invasive than anything Valve have implemented. Lot of good that did Riot. If you're going to ask players to let you run what's basically a rootkit on their PC, the least you could do is insta-ban hackers so it makes it a little worthwhile.

Release Notes for 5/4/2020
2020.05.04 -
cs_blog_tag.png

[GAMEPLAY]
– Added kill feed icons for blind shooter, kills through smoke, and no scope sniper kills; all kill feed icons feature the bullet on the same line.
– When spawn immunity time is set to a negative value then spawning players will not have immunity even during warmup period.
– Fully disabled player immunity in 1v1 Wingman warmup period arenas, and added logic to clear blood decals for each encounter.
– sv_pure servers will now kick clients that have loaded asset files into game memory from files not present on game server filesystem.

I see the CSGO Steam thread is abuzz with people complaining about this. Custom assets don't work anymore in public servers. Why? Because it is being exploited, and some believe it is also being exploited by pros in the current Road to Rio.

Many workshop items may have an issue with public servers and pending on the hack you use will also have an issue with the public servers. Those who are playing ESEA and FACEIT should know this.

IN A CONVERSATION WITH A CSGO CHEATS PROVIDER
Its past eight weeks of total lockdown with no hope for a vaccines of COVID-19, I’m not sure what the future would look like, our freedom will be dependent on this. Although, the only thing I like about this period is the game time we’re getting. The time to explore a lot of stuffs including the ones which are the most notorious.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a surprise chatter in a CSGO competitive game with one of the players who was ‘apparently’ testing his hacks. In between Valve’s match-making, I lobbied with one of my friends, we both are LEMs. The server was CS:GO Dubai West or so as I recall. They were playing casually in the warmup.

The queue had five “Flawless” or that’s what their clan tag suggested, on opponents side and 2 in ours. They were trying to do a ‘hvh’ session to test out who had the best hacks. One of them who was on our side, appeared reasonable to me as the rest of the opponents were doing nothing but hurling abuses. Let’s the call the guy with whom I was chatting, ‘Fettish.’

THE CHATTER BEGIN

The game started and just after warmup me and my friend started to feel something was off, they were bhoping in the outer area of de_train and just at contact, headshot. Eventually, after a couple of rounds Fettish told us, we can’t beat them so stop even trying. I asked, why? He responded, they are all hackers and have subscribed to our hacks called [NAME REMOVED].

I astonishingly said, what the hell? why even play in match making if you want to hack? He responded, a recent update of Valve, which looked like just a regular one with map reforms, Valve secretly upgraded their Anti Cheat. Hence, they were trying to test a few features. I jumped in to ask, which update? which he obviously didn’t want to reveal.

Progressing around round 14th I asked, how does these hack work and what’s the user base? Fettish said he charges roughly around $19.99 per month for one user with limited features & $29.99 for unlimited usage. The hack simply draws over the game which enables the exploit.

Obviously my ridiculous excitement was in no mood for containment, I asked, I know about wall hacks, aimbots and what not, do you guys even offer health-pack hacks? Just to be sure if I was the noob or the opponents were over 100HPs. Fettish said, his services don’t offer healthpack boosters, nor they intend to.

STREAMERS & PROS

The streamers & pros around the world also have the subscription, he said. I quickly countered what about the live streaming? Will it not reveal? Fettish said, there are tweaks provided by them to customize streaming software, OBS is one which they support as of now.

“In our subscribers base, there are thousands of semi-pros,” Fettish claims. Although when I wanted to dig into the regions, the base, and the organizations, he obviously hesitated and refused to speak. The market is big, the cheat market brings in hundreds and thousands of dollar every year. In a famous game like CSGO, the cheat developers also have to keep their A-game all the time.

It’s like a heist. Once mistake and thousands of people get swiped away. There are challenges for them too, Fettish says before allowing anyone to access their tool, they also need to be sure the customer isn’t an undercover Valve developer. I was shocked to hear this, it seemed like a Hollywood movie where FBI agents go undercover to bust a drug-racket. But Fettish says, that’s their concern.

UPDATES & KEEPING UP WITH VALVE

Fettish says to stay in the business we’ve to stay one step ahead of Valve. A wave of VAC ban and lots of users stop the services, which hurts them commercially and their brand reputation.

As soon as Valve pushes a CSGO update, the cheat coders have their task set. They have to be fast to evade any potential detection of their script. I tried to get the numbers of active subscribers from Fettish, he didn’t disclose it all but given by the scale they’re giving away their service, it was sure somewhere around tens of thousands.

Their website is DDoS protected. They use AWS. They use secured payment gateways. There’s absolutely nothing these people don’t offer. It’s incredible.

It is incredible that a Free to Play game where cheat markets are worth millions.

Most noobs use Project Infinity which is free, and feature-rich for the free version, but it is only VAC compatible, but there are many more free hacks available.
