I like how cheating is now sommer a hobby. It is a small-penis syndrome.

PI is gratis, and the non-paid edition is still undetected and it can do a lot.

Those who 'dope', they all use the packet manipulation hacks which is insanely expensive, those which you can run on your mobile or otherwise. It cannot be detected in any traditional sense, or so I believe at this stage.

This is a good step at limiting hacking in casual communities.

I have upgraded my Cougar ARENA pad to the ARENA X. This is such a lovely gamepad, and the extra length makes it so much better. I still have to use a pad which is as balanced as the ARENA. I tried Steelseries pads, some are simply too quick, though some might like it. I know 'pro' who swears by a Bloody pad (which is the same as the MSI pads), so I got one, but it is too restrictive. Most people I know use the Steelseries Qck pads.

Nowadays pads are more about RGB in any case.

Just opened this 'mainstream' review,

and RGB / no lighting is marked as a negative, this world we live in...

CSGO SOURCE 2 IS REPORTEDLY CANCELLED
Looks like CSGO won't be getting the engine upgrade anytime soon.

Since late 2019, speculations started to surface about the oncoming of the Source 2 engine to CSGO. Leaks from various sources claimed that the Source 2 implementation to CSGO was already in progress and might hit the game before mid-2020.

The hype peaked at around April-May of 2020, where a leak from VNN Tyler claimed that the Source 2 engine for CSGO is ready to be dispatched. He also set a date for the release, which was May 18th, but the release didn’t occur back then. Now, another leak from VNN Tyler reveals that the CSGO devs might cancel the engine upgrade for CSGO entirely.

The Source 2 upgrade for CSGO would feature not only upgraded graphics, but also a whole lot of new stuff for players to enjoy. The most notable aspect of the upgrade would be the changes in the community map creation, which would be a lot easier and more convenient, and would consequently result in better quality and more optimized custom maps.

However, according to VNN Tyler, the devs are cancelling the upgrade primarily due to the difficulty in porting the vast number of community content to the new engine.

“They’re not going to do it,” Tyler says during his Twitch stream. “It’s not that they can’t port the game, it’s they can’t port the community content.” He further mentioned that Valve has no plan or means to allow the “massive backlog” of community created CSGO content.

The good news Tyler also hinted towards is that there lies a possibility of the port coming in the distant future. He said, regarding the port of the community content to Source 2, “Now if they ever figure that out, then it’ll happen. But as of now, not happening.”

:D

RIP.

So in short CSGO 2.0 will bring Source 2?

Will there be a next CSGO? Will it be called GO? More like CS: Arena or something amongst those lines. There have been calls coming a long time now to remove the 'CTs' and 'Ts'.

The game has now entered the Chinese market with its own 'Steam' powered marketplace. They are still bankrolling.

When you look at the game in its current state, all those maps are 'ported' through time in any case. Most community maps aren't even made in Source but ported into Source. I doubt they will make a new game without the competitive map pools. These maps are proactively optimised, no way they will make new maps, but rather remake those maps in Source.

I can see the issue with the community workshop. Custom modes, custom maps, etc. However, the skins should be portable? Here is the thing, although Source 2 utilises mesh-based geometry Source's (1) mapping is still compatible or so I think. I am struggling to see where things will break?

The Dota2 community workshop did their conversions. Now suddenly it is uhm, not possible, but this is what McVicker has alluded to, and I am unsure whether he is talking through his ass or whether he knows a bit more than the casual base.

Anyway, a new game would mean that the CSGO inventories will crash. People will slowly abandon CSGO, some market items will skyrocket due to rarity and others will bottom-out as people move into a new game acquiring new items, it will become stale.

Generally, I believe that CSGO will still be around, maybe it will go Source 2, who knows? Nobody knows what is going on at Valve, they aren't required to make anything public.

Some stats. I played a total of thirty four matches this year. Six out of the thirty four matches had cheaters in it. Ten wins. Four draws. Countless team mates that was very bitter to play with. Lots of lobbies (people playing in teams, hanging out on Discord) telling me my mic isn't working, yet, after the game testing my mic on other servers it works fine. Sadly the problem with CSGO isn't the game. By no means is the game bad, its a very good game. The issue is the toxic player base, and that they will never be able to fix at all. The cheating issue isn't Valve's fault, the toxicity isn't their fault either. Its all behavioral and that is what makes all of this sad. A few want to ruin the experience of as many as they can because they deep down have a psychological issue and can't accept the fact that someone is better than them at the game, so they have to cheat to try and proof a point that only they understand.

Had a good laugh

I watched his PUBG hacks. Funny.

Just shows how easily any code bypasses VAC. There are similar code, or hacks, which mimics spray control, reduces spread, etc. Legit hacks, as the hacking community calls it, no aim, no walls, only optimisations.

Tried the anti-cheat beta in casual a bit...can't say it's doing anything. Still lots of people with new accounts or bought ones (5 year coins with no other medals or badges) with bad game sense and movement but godlike aim. Meh.

 What account did you use?

I have started to clean out my Steam Friends. Everyone with a VAC is out, 'Cod' or otherwise. People who have logged in more than a year ago, out.

Some info - trusted launch didn't work with MSI's Mystic Light application running. I use it to turn off the motherboard and RAM RGB - had to shut it down and go back to the random light show to play the game with the beta running.

Main...I'd have to dig the password out from somewhere for the other one.

Just realised It was casual...trust factor probably isn't used there.

I doubt we even have the local base to sustain the beta test. Under the circumstances, I am sure that everyone is pooled into the beta irrelevant whether they have it installed or not. Yes, it likely only applies to competitive.

As I understand the beta is bug-ridden. All the patch does now is to mimic like close to all other mainstream anti-cheats, but it isn't part to VAC. Many players are unable to participate in the beta due to unsigned drivers, which are also used to execute some hacks... I guess this is more a reporting tool than anything else at the moment to compile legitimate application executions and to 'denylist' the rest. Popular hacks still have access to the beta.

Ah, your account status is set to private. You haven't been online since 32 days ago. I think my account is cleaned up enough now,
