CSGO Sticky thread

Goodbye Operations, hello bat... err, Armory Passes?

You can stack them up to 5 passes.

Joined CS2 again today after several months hiatus. Join Italy. Everyone on 201 ping and myself on 2. I get kicked.

What is going on here?

Bots flooding our servers or something.

Farming? I don't know. I mean Valve added a stackable "Armory" pass. Pump and dump.

Meh. At least they're moving away from gambling, I guess.

Hostage map in competitive is weird...that's going to be some long ass games.

From all of my hours I have only ever rescued a single hostage. I think.

I never got that achievement for breaking x amount of windows on hostage maps (or was it just Office?).

The hostage maps have their own little community - the only times I've been kicked from a game was on hostage maps.

Yup, Farming. Been a thing for a long time now. Typically the DM servers used for Mirage etc isn't that bad. Other DM servers is a no go pretty much, especially Dust

Played some on CSGO in comp.

Hostage maps are my favourite. Lots of nuances.

Another video on the exploit and bans:

What these content creators at theScore do not see, or want to see, bringing into the conversation is that there is a real market economy involved. There is a buy in, to be able to unlock digital items by rule that can be traded within a contained ecosystem within Valve's domain. There are controls that need to be exercised given how this system is designed. In short, what happened through the exploit is market manipulation.

Valve closed an exploit which would have caused them damages. Valve being smart, not to do arbitration any more they would have sent themselves to the courts. Ja, GabeN. Fair play is a policy.

People crying over this are the same people who will **** you over.

K70 CORE TKL series includes an option to enable FlashTap, a brand new SOCD system with modes that prioritize the first or last key pressed. FlashTap gives competitive gamers an advantage in skilled movements like rapid strafing and mirroring, making every move faster and easier to master.

As I have said many times, I am not against this implementation, but it isn't going to stick in some competitive games. It can be used elsewhere. The issue I have with this implementation is that it is an input overwrite. It exacerbates the issue with cheats, and casts a grey area within this spectrum.

I still like how Razer calls this innovation, and that others are copying them, when this is an existing implementation in other peripherals which is bannable in some other games too.

Be aware that cheat developers will take advantage of these implementations to insert their hacks.

Having a look at the most recent patch notes:

Counter-Strike 2 Update
[ GAMEPLAY ]
  • Various adjustments to bullet hit feedback.
  • Fixed a case mid-spray where lag compensation would rewind target hitboxes further into the past than what was on screen.
  • Jumping in place on a sloped surface will no longer result in players sliding a short distance.
  • Fixed a bug where C4 could be defused from any height.

I am unsure whether this was something being undone, hence a "bug", that is now patched. Ever since CS2 released I said that sprays aren't working. I gave up on spraying, as it didn't seem to register. Now I am also curious whether this is applicable to both LAN and online play? I am watching the LANs and players who spray don't seem to have an issue at all. On a LAN, lag compensation would be reduced to its absolute minimum.

For the Western and Eastern Cape people, I think you may spray again now.

Last night I dipped my toes back into CSGO. I must say, the map improvements are welcomed. It was not a good experience, lol, I need practice. The game is a bit laggy, some instances are okay others are not. At least with CoD the experience is almost always the same. Maybe it is because I have game recording enabled, eh.

Anyhow, I liked it, not bad.

All I want to know is why my ping is 30, and everyone else are below. Weird.

It's CS2, grandpa.
