CSGO Sticky thread

The amount of GG's given is directly proportional to the amount of fun I have in a match :D

I get a bit frustrated when people hack or use TeamSpeak or whatever (the obvious ones that is) to gain an advantage in Casual games. I tend to get a bit astray and hunt only them down which in turn hurts my performance and the rest of the team's as well.

I shouldn't let one r-soul bug me so much:o

Nothing wrong with TS. It actually helps a lot when you have a team you play with.

Casual is open season.

People using TS when they are dead giving enemy positions away to your still-alive teammates gets my goat.

I should probably have been a bit more specific WRT my rant

What types of hacks are mostly used. Im very new to the game and still enjoy arms race. Sometimes it seems I empty a clip on a guy and they 1 bullet get me.

The two most common are 1) wall hacks, then 2) aim hacks, client side hacks. There are many hacks (and scripts), the most lethal being the spinbot which dupes the server on many levels. Then you have anti-aim hacks which switches the hitboxes. These hacks you will experience, you will see players use them.

Then there are cleverer hacks like manipulating the spread control which is common in the pro leagues, and many pro players have been caught. On the matchmaking servers, you may bump into individuals or teams running bunny hopping scripts to quicker traverse around the map to critical hold areas.

Google CSGO hacks to get an idea, but there are many more. The pro players have also managed to load hacks through the Workshop mechanic… don’t know how, but it was done in the past in order to get them right into a controlled and monitored competitive game.

Booster hacks are the sneakiest to detect and it is hard to call whether a player is using a spread control hack to minimize the spray.

Hacks can be customised, you will get players customising their aimbot by snapping on the 5th or 7th bullet to make it less obvious etc.

Hacks are common, it is not a rarity.

I will never understand why people cheat, there can't be any satisfaction if you won knowing you cheated.

Have you ever heard a hacker admitting to hacking?

I remember the day the news broke when Flex was caught by the server at ESEA playing as a stand-in player in a 3rd tier competition,

Iirc, the winning pot was $250,000. The best part was that the community protected him, days on end.

Emili0ooo VAC banned at DreamHack Winter 2014 which was hailed an error by many.

It has been a year or two since the greater pro players were caught hacking the game. The problem is that whilst their behaviour is excused by the community this will continue.

Black Friday is around the corner, the game will be on special... expect the trolls, clones and hacks by the dozen. Prime means nothing.

Third game in a row that I flat out quit because of people who use Teamspeak to gain an advantage.

I also saw a new one tonight: one of the opposing team members (dead) changed his name to "planting A" while we were ahead to let his living teammates know what was going on. Needless to say we lost that round but apparently won the match.

It really shouldn't irk me so much but I think it's the blatant disregard of any fair competition that makes me a bit annoyed

^, is that on competitive? Not on in casual either but guys mess around in casual all the time...the result doesn't matter much.

I've only ever played one comp but I this was casual. I think I might be biased because the first and last comp I partook in had a very very annoying squeaker in the team that cost us the game at the end.
