CSGO Sticky thread

If you want to know whether or not there is a cheating problem you should check out Noobdog's videos. He makes the only decent CSGO content I'll watch these days but it wouldn't be possible if VAC wasn't so bad.

One of the videos on his channel:

Gamesense?

There are so many hooks available on GitHub and other repositories without the need to pay premium prices. There is a cheat which hasn't been maintained in yonks which is to this day undetected, though it is very much rudimentary.

Most devs are now optimising their cheats to be legitimate, meaning that is perceived in being less blatant.

I regularly keep an eye on the popular cheats, observing the change logs.

I do this to better understand a cheater and to know how these cheats behave. 1) It makes me a better reporter and 2) it makes me better at Overwatch.

Valve isn’t going to nail the cheaters all at once, yes, they do with VAC waves, but it is due to them modelling VACnet. As long as the Steam market economy is healthy, ‘undetected’ cheaters will be allowed because they pump the marketplace. Farming is huge within the Steam community. The day the CSGO marketplace buckles then Valve will act, the day the CSGO marketplace collapse we will see a new Counter-Strike on the horizon.

There is a reason why some user accounts with the most valuable inventories are on a temp trade ban (and temp could mean years), one very lucrative account is soon to be unbanned.

The cheat he uses is called AdvancedAim, it's his own cheat that he's selling and he has a dev working with him. Though I think they suspended the ability to buy it, I don't know why or if you can still even get an account.

I think this is his current project he's working on because before this he was staff at Aimware I believe.

This will be hated more than intrusive anti-cheats.

Is it real though? I understand boosting via bots, but human boosting is legit'ish, pending, the scope needs to be precise otherwise Valve will open themselves up to legal trouble.
Its fairly easy to see pure bosting lobbies. They can probably pick up a pattern by looking at match history which makes it easy to find boosted accounts. Problem is, boosted accounts are not an issue. The issue is the intentionally deranked accounts and the cheaters

This cheater has also blown Valve's stance on cheats away. I see Valve's CSGO moderator again said that cheating isn't a problem and that most cheaters use boosted accounts. It is said in the above Reddit thread.

WTF Valve?

OPERATION BROKEN FANG ]
– Operation Broken Fang has come to an end. Players who have unredeemed operation stars will have until May 15th to claim their operation rewards.
– Introducing CS:GO 360 Stats – A subscription service for players that want to continue collecting official Competitive and Wingman stats.
– Premier Competitive remains available for all players featuring pick/ban process across the entire Active Duty Group map pool.
– Retakes remains available and has been moved into Wargames.

This is some real EA/Take-Two bullschit there. $1/pm sub to see non-necessary stats? There are so many third-party services which provides a more valuable breakdown without costing the user a cent. Say there was some AI involved which could direct the player in improving themselves, then sure, charge $1/pm.

[ SNAKEBITE CASE ]
– Introducing the Snakebite Case, featuring 17 community-designed weapon finishes, and the Broken Fang Case set of gloves as rare special items.

Nice, expect a big grind, and many alts, in this month.

[ MISC ]
– Chicken models have received a visual upgrade.
– Fixed community maps whose textures would appear black as a result of previous security fixes.
– The \ key can again be bound to commands. If you were using this key before, you will need to bind it again.
– Additional security and stability improvements.
– Added an option for large community maps to fade the Boost Player Contrast feature beyond the far-Z fog plane by setting fadeplayervisibilityfarz to ‘true’ in info_map_parameters.

Hmmm, is Valve busy to remedy their cheating problem?

[ MAPS ]
– Ancient has been added into the current competition map pool Active Duty Group and Train has been removed from Active Duty Group.
– Grind and Mocha have been added to official matchmaking in Scrimmage, Casual, and Deathmatch game modes, replacing Apollo, Engage, and Anubis.
– Calavera and Pitstop have been added to official matchmaking in Wingman game mode, replacing Elysion and Guard.

@Cav5034 @Neoprod Ancient is on the menu boys. Changes to the map has also been made.

Ancient is kinda fun but runs a bit poop compared to the other maps. Hopefully they've done something about the textures.

A bit boring to be honest,

I guess they want to trial the map competitively. I don't like the map.

It is only being elevated in the Active Duty rotation, it is not in the pro scene rotation. Train stays in the competitive scene.

Valve seems to be a lot more invested into Frostbite than Ancient and I wouldn't be surprise to see Frostbite being the more prominent map between the two in the time to come.

What's the AK going for? I've got case money burning a whole in my Steam wallet.

I am not checking third-party markets, but Steam's marketplace $21.69-$98.94 / StatTraks $90.34-$246.

It will drop in the months to come unless it becomes a hoarded investor's item.
