CSGO Sticky thread

Since the poor kid's video has been 'silently' taken down, I need to quote two articles,

:sneaky:

GabeN should have been honest and said that cheating will be solved with Valve's new gaming on-demand service priced @ $14.99 per month, now you can play your entire Steam library online, CSGO 360 included. Ts&Cs apply, limited to games published by Valve, new publishers coming in the Near Future.

Joke aside, Valve is pro-actively exploring to integrate Steam Cloud Play with cloud services. GeForce Now is already supported, but it is not a closed ecosystem.

How long have VACnet being deployed now? Overwatch is stacked with spinbots and obvious aimbots, and I am sure this is where VACnet is doing its work, submitting these 'incidents' to Overwatch. I cannot see how an AI is going to determine whether the player uses visibility hacks like radar and walls, amongst other hacks. Hacks which are deemed "legitimate" is hard to determine with your visual sense though I do see more spread and recoil hacks it are catogorised as aimhacks.
Valve time? Seems closer to April fools than anticipated. Or has Valve finally started to care about CSGO?

Well I am terrible compared to months ago, yet I finally got GE. Deranking ought to be fun...
I play 4 times a month, and all the operation did was to make me sloppy and lazy due to the casual activities which I rushed through.

My aim placement is way out and I am really slow to react as I have noticed.

Anyway, loadshedding so I am not playing and I am likely to be unavailable next Sunday.

In other news, the 3D analysis viewer, not Rewind, Skybox which was punted in the pro games is going public the 30th. It does have a free plan, it will be nice for reviewing demoes and see where you can improve as a team.

So, the VAC waves are here. Big inventory and thousands upon thousands play hours accounts are being banned. Accounts which have been idle up to three months ago are reportedly also being banned, so VACnet is doing it's thing then.

Good times, sorry cheaters.

lol, so Valve cashed in on the operation.

Finally, hopefully MM can start to return to normal. Less reason for me to get a third party subscription

I only hope it is true, could also be fake cheating community outrage. They tend to do this time from time to obfuscate the state which games are in.

It is making noise though, going through my small friends list soon to see whether there has been VACs amongst my circle jerk.

I guess the VAC waves are fake outrage. Both of the cheats in question are still undetected. One of these two has been undetected since release... but there is another in the repository which is older, still works, and is to date undetected. I never post the names of freely available 'premium' cheats, if you want to know some articles posted the name of one of the cheats which is caught in the apparent VAC wave which doesn't seem to be the case anyhow.

Ignoring that these are cheats what annoys me the most about it is that the code is public, then some fools take the code and rebundle it with a new GUI and then sells it to their Steam friends or group. Copy and paste devs for profit.

Going through the cheater communities, some cheaters are afraid of these two cheats grabbing Valve's attention now, but I am quite sure Valve knows of 99.99% of the hacks used in their games.

I saw last night that they claim that there was some attempt to get misinformation out about the cheats. In the process they drew a lot more attention to the cheats.

I see that from the games I played the last 3 months the obvious ones where I was somehow shut down the whole time had cheaters banned. Seems like bans are happening, but very slowly

Had a few GG's around the time the update came out. Day later facing lobbies of spinners bragging on bypassing VAC. Bye Bye LEM for me.
If they cant fix the anti cheat, surely they can add a MM filter. Lobby leader can decide on criteria like amount of service stars or play time required to match against or popup before hand give a warning low play hour accounts in upcoming game before accepting the game.

I'm GN 2 and no i dont eat crayons.
No one will mock you for being Gold Nova. Gold Nova will forever remain one of the hardest ranks that I've played. The step from GN3 to GNM was massive. I should in theory get Gold Nova games on my Alt account but I don't like ruining the game for others so I might end up not playing on that account again.

This outrage specifically highlights two freely available cheats with premium functionality. Both are very popular, but not the most popular amongst the free cheats available on repositories like GitHub. Either the premium subscription or paid for devs (and their respective communities) wants to harm the reputation of free cheats for boosting their own, or it is the other way around.

As far as I know, these cheats in question has an undetected status at this time. If people were truly banned for using them there is more to it than known to the public through outrage.

There is no honour amongst cheaters, and as I have said in my previous post a lot of these cheat makers are copying others.

I think that moving to third party services is ultimately the best solution for the cheating problem. Only issue is that moving to 3rd party services bring a very toxic user experience. Last time I played on a third party service there was "Someone is throwing" comments that was made by the admin. After that I lost interest. I just want to play the game, I don't care for all the other bullshit people want to bring into it.

I got ESEA but can not find a game, joined faceit as well but everyone is warning against the toxicity. Can not imagine it being worse than the windgat cheaters spamming chat asking to join their discord.

This is cool,

but these bots are equipped with 'aimhacks'. It will accurately shoot where it is programmed to, hence no any spread or recoil penalty. Basically, these can run & gun. Yes, this is also noticeable in Valve programmed bots, but they are handicapped on purpose, but they can still pretty much pending on their setting kill you with a single shot or burst when appropriately equipped, but they won't auto laser you.

Players on those services play to win and play to improve. Newcomers are almost always exposed to abuse because they don't carry their weight. It is like an induction phase, once you grasp the community's psychology you will have it easier.

I haven't used those services since around 2016. I am not invested into it and is too old to be a semi-pro.

What is your favorite map to play? If its anything but Mirage you will hate it. Don't know a smoke? You will feel it. Didn't clutch a round? Bad news for you... The "better players" understand the game can get tough and don't just rage. On "lower levels" you will get the most toxic experience possible. Everyone thinks they are better than everyone else. "I got 'service' so now I'm pro" is the general mindset I have picked up when watching a few local streamers playing on these third party services. Best part is that responding to them when they are toxic is considered toxic.
