Hi there

I'm making slow progress as I learn what to do and what not to do with CSVDE and importing users into an AD domain.

This is a lekker tool :D

So far I've managed to get it to create a container and create a luser or two in it.

Lusers account need more information though.

Who else did an export and import with CSVDE, and was it successful?

I have used CSVDE a number of times now, and apart from a few false starts, it works wonderfully. In fact I used it last week at my old high school, exported 1000 accounts from the old domain, made some changes and imported them all exactly into same OU's in the new domain. I didn't bother to set up home directories and so on in the file, but it's possible.

About the only bummer is that you can't set passwords for accounts like this, but there are Powershell scripts out there that can generate random passwords for users in an OU. I think you can set passwords with the LDIFDE tool, but that tool is nowhere as easy to understand as CSVDE.
