Current poll on myadsl

I just want to vent a bit. Before I selected the option of "No"...I told myself that over 50% would have voted yes. That's how well I know you guys. :D

I really can't believe that the majority of people on this forum can believe that Telkom will actually blacklist you. You have any idea how quickly people will move to another ISP? Telkom can't afford to start losing customers at this stage...so seriously man take a chill pill and relax and think twice before making a decision regarding the polls about Telkom...you guys are so full of hatred towards them, that you are actually blinded by it.

I know I will be getting some nasty replies...but I really don't care. I just feel that people on this forum are so morbid (hope the spelling is right) that it is really turning into more of a complaints forum than a discussion forum.

Well, I'm a heavy user, I cap all 4 accounts on a monthly basis. I have not received an email like that. Even if I do, I will not believe them cause seriously man...that would be one stupid move.
 
They probably won't blacklist you because they'll lose too many customers. It's just an empty threat to try get some people to stop downloading so much or in their eyes to stop abusing the service.

They have admitted to sending out the email. The basis of selecting who they send to seems as arbitary as their capping policy. Any harm to their image has allready been done. However by getting rid of a few "highend users" they are in a better position to continue with their relaxed capping policy.

I believe that changes to accomodate the new regulations will most likely take place before much blacklisting actually takes place.

Do you seriously believe Telkom cares about its customer base. The pockets do, but the staff don't.
Telkom have cut legitimate paying customers off before and made them sweat to come back online... they dont care.
 
I for one wouldn't care if they cut me off, I'll just go to a new ISP. Besides I don't even use them anyway for a very good reason :p
 
I cant imagine telkom doing that, but if they did it would'nt worry me cause I am not a high end user. :D
 
On this blacklist story, Telkom should realise that the ADSL service is not a favour they are doing for us which we are abusing. It is infact a service that we pay for through our noses.
