Cyberpunk 2077

I don't trust what the community boards are saying, because people are making odd claims. This is the steam depository,

but I think it is bugs noted here,

which is being addressed, and apparently since the hot patch there are more graphical issues. A big complaint at the moment are character animations pausing since patch 1.5 (I guess T-pose?).

I am not touching this game, again, until CDPR says it is done. The development seems to be headache.

CDPR should also publish a detailed changelog. Players are still unravelling rebalancing implementations.

Played a bit of the PS5 trial version (having finished it on PC many moons ago).

Colour me unimpressed with pointless RT mode. A 30FPS cap for visual features that are impossible to spot unless completely stationary. Performance mode is pretty solid and the way to play it.

Feature and bug wise it doesn't feel a whole lot different to when I played the initial PC version. I won't be buying it on PS5 for another play through.

I gotta say, I've played a few more hours after this patch 1.5 - the game is in a much better state than it was a year ago. This is the state the game should have been released in - so essentially it needed 1 more year of dev time. CD Projekt is really making strides in the right direction here - just a shame we won't be seeing any expansions for a while. But now one can actually play the game so there are a few things I missed on my first playthrough (and that they have either fixed up or added) that are keeping things somewhat fresh. Right now the biggest thing in my mind is they have to do something about the armor system because in its current state it is just ****. We need Transmogs and Legendary Sets ASAP.

Elon Musk Wants To Get Steam Games In Teslas

The CEO was asked on Twitter when Cyberpunk 2077 was coming to Tesla vehicles

There is a new – and even more distracting – feature in the works for Tesla vehicles. CEO Elon Musk said the automaker is working on making Steam games available on Tesla vehicles.

Musk revealed the plans on Twitter after gaming journalist Ryan McCaffrey tweeted at him asking when Cyberpunk would be available on the Model S and Model X.

You should always take Musk’s Twitter announcements with a grain of salt, but if it is to be believed, the company’s goal is to have all Steam games available in Tesla cars. However, in the shorter term there may just be a few select titles available.

The automaker already has their own game library inside of its cars called the Tesla Arcade, and it has been working with video game studios to port games into their system.

According to Electrek, Tesla has recently put a new, faster computer in the Model S and Model X that is geared toward use for video games powered by the AMD Navi 23 GPU. Games would be playable through the front and rear touchscreens, and Musk revealed there is more storage space to handle additional games on the platform.

Cyberpunk 2077 expansions has been announced in stealth alongside the new The Witcher games. CDPR is binning REDengine, but will still use it to produce the Cyberpunk 2077 expansions, hence hinting at there being expansions. CDPR also announced a long-term partnership with Epic Games, and I can only assume that many won’t be impressed since an exclusivity might be on the table. Though one would believe it would be to use Unreal Engine 5 at a reduced rate, CDPR is now also involved in the game engine's technical development and its potential new iterations. At least a new Cyberpunk game in the next 6-12 years should be better optimised...

CDPR did state on their discussion board,

We are not planning on making the game exclusive to one storefront.

but I don't see them being grabbed up by MS any time soon, not when they are this involved with a proprietary technology belonging to the competition.

Tomorrow is the Night City Wire & REDstreams day!

You'll be able to find out more about Patch 1.6, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and... we might have some surprises in store.

Meet us at 5 PM CEST on twitch.tv/cdprojektred!

May be an image of text

So... the next big patch will be discussed or teased tomorrow.

The expansion is announced. Phantom Liberty, and Keanu Reeves (or Johnny Silverhand) seems to be its main character, so I guess they aren't expanding on their current world... Time will tell. Release year is slated as 2023.

EDIT, so you do play as V,

Been reading up on Cyberfail for a few weeks now, how's the optimization now ? did they sort that crap out ? or is still as stable as Eskom ?

I won't know I put 103hrs into the game up to patch 1.3. Then I started waiting on new game plus mode.

Apparently CDPR is about to overhaul many things so I guess there might be a patch 1.7/1.8 prior to the DLC. The cops are being reworked, and many "Netrunner" things will be worked into the game to tie in the seriea so I guess some loose ends will be made whole. There are other things, one being that they now support mods with a dedicated plugin,
