Cyberpunk 2077

CDPR have an announced stream on Twitch in one hour, I guess it is starting at 17h00,

I would guess it is either a teaser at launching or rather relaunching the game on console and bringing it back to PS. Next-gen release incoming???

All I want to see is the patch list... and would laugh in the case paid DLC is announced.

Could be like a CIG stream, talk, and nothing else.

The game is coming back to PS, they are showcasing next-gen gameplay on the PS5.

EDIT: Oh my...

Their disclaimer at the bottom switched to Xbox Series S without gameplay interruption, so which console is it? Clearly a prerecording.

EDIT: Now it is switched to Xbox Series X???

Unless they stitched this real good, it looks like a bad representation.

The gameplay is all smooth though, only misleading with the disclaimer.

The gameplay now shown is the next-gen version, still looks better on PC, and on patch 1.5 though nothing new was shown. Talking about it now.

They say the entire perk tree is reworked. The unusable perks were scrapped, so don't expect new gameplay around those perks.

Apparently the next-gen patch is already available, patch 1.5, but it isn't showing on GOG/Steam, and yes, PC is already next-gen, but I want to test out the new patch, time to re-roll.

They made the crowds more like GTA, some might pull weapons on you, and the people can brawl with each other. Reacted crowds apparently doesn't despawn any more... I want to see this, they said the same about the police in a previous patch.

Maybe 5 years later nms and it would be a finished and working product.

I don't mind them doing it, but it gives you the idea that the game is as good on the Series S as it is on the Series X and PS5. Looks exactly like PC graphics now, but tuned a bit down, duh. Still nice, console owners will be happy.

They adopted so much made by the modding community. Many QoL improvements implemented now already available through third-parties. Then again, they did say that they hired modders, so...

Apparently, the game economy and combat has been totally rebalanced. I am hoping that the game has a real hard mode now.

DLC:

1. New weapons (and attachments I think) available at the shop and range in your apartment building
2. Character customisation in your apartment mirror
3. Apartment makeover at the computer, on the net, in your apartment
4. New apartments... I am uncertain whether you may rent more than one apartment, but it is now doable at the computer, on the net, in your apartment

Note: In this world, you pay rent once, and never again. They answered it now, you can own, or rather rent, all the apartments.

One more new DLC, related to Johnny Silverhand... when you play as Silverhand, photo mode is also available. Why do they label this as a DLC? This is a QoL improvement, no?

Console graphics modes,

CP2077-modes.PNG

a synthetic benchmark has also been added to the game.

The demos they had in the beginning of the presentation were set on Performance mode, I wouldn't be surprised that it was the benchmark.

Okay... so the rumoured Samurai Edition with all of its new quirks and features was a heap of Reddit kak.

To quote it,

>cyberpunk next gen/patch 1.5 will be treated as a soft relaunch for the game. game will be renamed Cyberpunk 2077: Samurai Edition

>cdpr will do a big livestream around february to reveal the patch, the cyberpunk anime and the first expansion

>new patch features: barbershops, a garage, improved AI, transmog system, a complete rebalancing of the loot system, new UI

>the promised free dlc will be bundled in and includes 4 new weapons, new game plus, appartment customization, new gigs

>tons of small stuff like judy and panam sending you more text messages during the course of the game

>first expansion takes place in pacifica which is actually quiet huge

>you walk around and do quests in what is called the "combat zone"

>the combat zone is being fought over by two new gangs: the Bozos (violent clown psychopaths with a sick sense of humour) and a gang called Slaughterhouse (violent psychopath fascists)

>walking around the combat zone feels very inspired by the game s.t.a.l.k.e.r.

>cyberpunk will get it's own gwent like mini game, it involves going to cyberspace and controlling and collecting monster which you can send to jrpg like battles, also has multiplayer

>one of the monsters looks like the reaper, another one i saw looks like an oni

>the cyberpunk anime called Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners is made by Studio Trigger with writing and story made by CDPR themselves. it looks absolutly insane. Beautiful 2D animation that reminds me of Akira.

>another expansion is in early stages of planning but will only be released if the first expansion is a succes

Only the 4 points I put in bold are true, and it is still to be proven if the improved AI is indeed improved. They once said they improved the police... yeah. Oh wait, they had a livestream now, sorry 5 points.

Will post the patch notes as soon as it is released.

Also, and importantly, not a single mention of future DLC or expansions. I think this is it, the game is complete.

That's going to be VERY controversial if true...perhaps enough to undo some of the goodwill they may earn with this patch.

It does however make sense from financial point of view. i.e. moving full development strength onto to the next Witcher game which is likely to be more profitable (if they don't cock it up)

Yeah, I think this is it,

don't expect any more.

I would have loved a fleshed out new expansion, and going back to their big investment call they did say that they want to introduce community aspects into the Witcher and Cyberpunk RED IPs, but that could be applicable to new games... and community hinting at online events, bye, DRM-free.
